WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has turned down ACORN's request for help in its lawsuit claiming Congress was wrong to shut off the activist group's federal funding.
The high court on Friday refused to throw out a decision by the federal appellate court in New York City. That court had decided to freeze a judge's determination that Congress acted unconstitutionally in yanking the group's funding.

But will the decision also not fund all their newly formed groups with new names?? Beck was naming them off state by state yesterday....
Glenn Beck exposed the new names of ACORN local affiliates on his show on Thursday.
And Big Bertha Lewis, head of ACORN, finally came out as a communist/marxist (she calls herself a “socialist” - so was Hitler) when she spoke before a Young Democratic Socialist meeting a while ago.
Turn over Obama’s rocks and out crawl all kinds of reds posing as “progressives” and “community activists”.

Great that SCOTUS let the defunding stand, but it’s hard to know whether they are really out of business. This story from March indicates that Obama quietly restored ACORN’s funding:

Bertha Lewis was telling supporters that we want to round them up and send them to concentration camps. Basically suggesting its us or them.
I don’t want to send the tank and file usefull idiot ACORN moron to jail. I want them to learn to take care of themself. Lewis on the other hand is a fraud and a criminal and has good reason to worry about being locked up.
This explains why Obama kept so much of Stimulus, in case election 2010 needs some votes..
We must keep those new names out in front, so we will recognize if they are getting taxpayer dollars.
It’s good to know SCOTUS can still get it right & is not letting the lower courts overreach on something this big.
The issue of all of ACORN’s new permutations wasn’t before this court.
I have no doubt ACORN will be stronger than ever, operating under new names. Hope someone will be able to bring them down, too.
It seems we’re fighting a losing battle against evil on so many levels.
How about that BC thing SCOTUS? ACORN has already reformed under a new name.
Good question, who knows what all names they are using now.
