What a stupid email. I’m female, engineer, MBA and prepared. I don’t need fancy shoes or retail items. I can forage and gather and HUNT. I have a treadle sewing machine. My family will survive.
Lets see if all the women disappeared, I would expect lots of beer drinking, farting, belching and scratching.
If all the men disappeared, we would never have to put the toilet set down again.
But on the other hand, there'd never be another Democrat elected to office.

‘100 years after women’ ... and that scenario is why ‘The Journey Home’ had to be made.
The violence and destruction of riots from losing all of the women would balance out the loss of infrastructure from losing all of the men.
Either way it would be bad.
We would either survive in the long term via cloning or using using some form of genetic engineering to re-create the missing sex. Although men would have it easier as they wouldn’t have to re-engineer the Y chomosome from scratch.
Well, that is a nice break from all the male-bashing.
This man would not want to live in a world without women, but let’s just stay analytical and ask if such a society could survive.
We know that all-male societies can function, since ships have done it for months or even years at a time. I can’t think of a comparable example of an all-female society. Convents generally weren’t completely self-sufficient like a ship.
The problem is that men’s natural recklessness might create some problems for a male society. Look at the state of most bachelor pads, and then imagine that as the norm. Rats could start having a field day.
Also, are men really going to raise the next generation? They might invent wombs to make the babies, but would enough men want to do the feeding and changing on a 24-7 basis to keep the species going?
Women do tend to be superior in a range of areas, such as nonverbal communication and ability to make subtle distinctions in shape and color. Given the ships of old still usually got to their destination, we could probably survive as a species without those skills, although we’d be worse off.

You left out an important factor. If men were to disapear, the entire planet would be overrun by spiders within three years because there would be no man available to kill them.
