Video of 7.2 Baja Earthquake from Rosarito Beach
The Constitutional Alamo ^ | 04/05/10 | Michael Naragon

Californians amaze me on two counts: the apparent willingness and ability to turn their state into a bankrupt liberal social experiment gone horribly wrong, and the calmness with which they deal with movements of the Earth’s tectonic plates.

My apologies to the small band of Californians that still believes in the Constitution... I should not have generalized :)

Baja California, is in Mexico.

>>like an earthquake, socialism is being forced upon us against our will<<

We constantly must remind people that we Californians gave the USA Ronald Reagan.

The true of heart and spirit are fighting the good fight to bring it back around — but I admit to eying the exit.

However, unless and until every single blue state Conservative resident acknowledges their bowing to the new hopeychangey TOTUS, then we really don’t want to hear it.

The second video really upset my cat!! Her ears went back and sje cautiously backed up & left the room!! Must be some kind of high frequency in the video she didn’t like!! HA HA!

As far as quakes, this one was so far away (I am in the San Fernando Valley), we didn’t even feel it. Our swimming pool did not slosh around, either.

Geographically, yes, but I was commenting on the people in the video, many of whom would be Californians. And for sake of clarification, the second video is from Yuma, AZ. Apologies to the people from Arizona for being temporarily lumped in with liberal Californians and Mexicans (otherwise known as future Americans) :D

Ya know, the birds were chirping...the sun was shining...seemed like a pretty nice day!

...and the calmness with which they deal with movements of the Earth’s tectonic plates.

I grew up with Southern California earthquakes, and learned to enjoy them.

As a Midwesterner-turned-Southerner, that is mind-boggling... but very cool.

Amazing. They seem un-fazed by it. Most of us would be freaking out.

What was all that chirping in the first video, I wonder? Didn't sound like seagulls.

Earthquakes get your full attention. They force you to reevaluate your immediate priorities. They reset your day. Everything looks a little different afterward.

I have to admit, I wish I had been in Southern CA today.

Were you as critical of those lowly Haitians as you are of us Californians? What state are you from?

yeah, remember that. Did you see the video where he tripped off the curb - first you see him behind the car, then you don’t. Like the earth opened up! When i watched it, I thought of that comment he made.

No! That sounded like canaries. My grandmother lived in southern California and used to have canaries, they sounded a lot like that when the males weren’t ‘singing’.

No, because Haiti is not an American state. I don’t assume they know better. Californians are U.S. citizens... well, a few of them are. They should have an inkling about liberty, freedom, and what big government does to those concepts. The Haitians have rarely, if ever, enjoyed the luxury of having a say in whether they would freely give away their liberties.

And if we really wanted to get into this discussion—and I have no real interest in doing so—we could bring in citizens of Colorado, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and other Western states whose populations are beginning to swell with those leaving California for greener pastures, to comment on the plague-like spread of the California brand of liberal idiocy.

Oh, and I’m from Georgia. These days, we’re not known for too much government stupidity, except perhaps in Atlanta, where they send their idiots to Congress (see: Hank Johnson).
