As reported by The Hill, a Winston Group survey did three phone surveys of registered voters from December to February. Of the 3,000 interviewed, 17% identified themselves as members of the Tea Party movement. Of that 17%, less than six out of ten were Republicans. Nearly 30% said they were independents, and 13% identified themselves as Democrats, exploding the myth that Tea Party activists are a homogeneous group of angry conservatives.

They’re angry diverse citizens.
But..but..this does not fit the narrative.
Sorry, didn’t mean to imply that the diversity implied we aren’t angry ;)
Never mind who makes up the Tea Party Movement. What I find fascinating is that 17% of the population considers themselves members of the Tea Pary Movement. That is a large number, especially considering it has been around about a year.
That is a HUGH number!
Well when Americans are angry we come from all political arenas. Don’t mess with the Constitution!!!
Let the LSM underestimate the Tea Party movement—plays right into our favor!
99.9% of the media are RACIST SOCIALISTS.
bump
Why would a “registered and contributing” Republican or Democrat be in the Tea Party Movement? If they are there, it is because they’ve given up on the Republicans and Democrats. So ... OF COURSE they are Independents. And it is the Independent vote that will take the nation back in November. The Tea Party just gives them a place to “hang out” while the people who think they are in control lose that control.
Which is why we won't see it reported in the MSM.
Blacks only make up about 13% of the population and this number includes kids and others who don't even vote.
Yes, I'd say that 17% is HUGH.
According to the Democrats, they are a bunch of white racists. I guess that probably means that the Dems are “cleansing” their ranks by dumping these folks onto the Tea Party.
wow - very interesting ... I had no idea so many Democrats, or maybe former Democrats, now identified themselves with the tea party movement
Yes, but they’ll see it at the polls. They just don’t want to believe it. One of their pollsters says the president is toxic in local races. Then another says, no, all of that has peaked. Heh! We’ll see.
Isn’t that wonderful and just think what they have been treated for the past 2 weeks of nothing but attacks from their democratic Congress Critters calling them racist, ignorant, etc. I don’t think I could vote for anyone who called me names.
