Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard believes that the murderer behind the shooting of rancher Robert Krentz was "most likely a scout employed by Mexican drug syndicates to look out for law enforcement" as reported by Dennis Wagner for The Arizona Republic: "I hope this is a wake-up call to people in the United States that there are very sophisticated cartel operations going on in both this country and in Mexico."
Meanwhile, Texas law enforcement is advising ranchers and farmers along the border "to arm themselves as signs across northern Mexico point to a new escalation of violence" as reported by Alfredo Corchado for The Dallas Morning News.
Across West Texas, worries abound of possible Easter weekend massacres in tiny Mexican communities butting up against Texas. In Hudspeth County, near El Paso, Chief Deputy Mike Doyal said Thursday that his "deputies are on high alert, 24-7," for any sign of "a spillover of violence." * * * He said he has four of his 15 deputies on duty in Fort Hancock, up from the lone deputy who normally patrols the community. Earlier in the week, the Sheriff's Department held a community meeting in which authorities advised residents, "If you're out on the fields, arm yourself," Doyal said.

Thanks for refreshing my memory.
The Zucker case is abysmal and a real blot on the US State Department. You are spot on on what you say about the difference between the Consulates and our State Dep’t.
Do it right the first time.
March 9, 1916 Pancho Villa Invades the United States!
Villa and his men raided Columbus, New Mexico
Black Jack Pershing is ordered to go deep into Mexico to find and punish Villa
At approximately 4:17 am on March 9, 1916, Villa’s troops attacked Columbus, New Mexico and its local detachment of the U.S. 13th Cavalry Regiment. They killed 10 civilians and 8 soldiers, leaving 2 civilians and 6 military wounded, for a total of 18 killed and 8 wounded.[1][2] The raiders also burned the town, took many horses and mules, seized available machine guns, ammunition and merchandise, before they returned to Mexico. However, Villa’s troops suffered considerable losses, with at least sixty-seven dead. About thirteen others would later die of their wounds. Five Mexicans were taken prisoner.
President Wilson puts 110,0000 troops on Mexican border.
National Guard units from Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico had been called into service on May 8, 1916.[6] With congressional approval of the National Defense Act on June 3, 1916, National Guard units from the remainder of the states and the District of Columbia were also called for duty on the border..[7] In mid-June President Wilson called out 110,000 National Guard for border service.

Americans have no representation in Washington. That’s a sad fact.

against the feds?
Yo fed ... stay home .. y'ain't gutta' prayer.
and of course the illegals ... be sure to have catastophic insurance before leaving ol' meheeko.
If history is any guide, you’d better just let yourself be murdered. Shooting narco-killers, even in the buttocks, will earn you a long jail sentence... Even if you’re a cop.
I bet the ranchers didn’t need any warning to carry their firearms when they go out into the field, and more than likely have been carrying them for decades.
Not to worry, the BATF will be right down to disarm y'all again.
And preferably with something belt fed.
Yep, most likely imprison the American victim, confiscate all his property, and render it to the illegal alien perp.
Everyone should have been armed long before now, what have they been waiting for?
The perverts at the Southern Poverty Law Center handled that case for the criminals against the Americans.
There is a solution to that problem- putting property in a trust.
Yes, and they had better not go half stepping. At least AR15 carbines and 1911 45 automatics.
I was wondering what you guys think of this guy who just announced running for AG of AZ.
Thomas: Illegal immigration enforcement campaign priority
PHOENIX — Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas announced Thursday he will resign to run for Attorney General of Arizona.
Thomas said in a news release that April 6 will be his last day in office.
He posted a campaign video on an “exploratory committee” Web site.
Thomas, a Republican, will run as a “Clean Elections” candidate. He says he has already collected “thousands” of signatures.
Thomas first ran for Maricopa County Attorney in 2004 on a platform to “Stop Illegal Immigration,” according to the news release.
On Friday, he said illegal immigration enforcement will be his top priority during his campaign.
“That’s one of the reasons why I’m running for attorney general. My legal authority does not extend to the Mexican border at this point. It will if I’m attorney general and I believe once I’m in that position I will be able to take appropraite steps to deal with the border crisis,” said Thomas.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has reportedly endorsed Thomas’ run for Attorney General. Arpaio is known for his strict policy on illegal immigration.
Thomas stated that “recent events have made clear the need for strong leadership statewide in the fight against crime and illegal immigration.”
Under state statutes, it is up to the Board of Supervisors to appoint an interim county attorney. That person will serve until a new county attorney is elected in a special election which will take place in November.
