If it’s true, we’re out ....
The Senate is the gateway to SCOTUS the ONLY thing a major lobby should be doing is defeating anti 2a rights Senators.
bolt action shotgun, theres a message there.
If it’s true, I will demand my life time membership be returned.
I’ll leave the verdict out till I see who the NRA supports in the fall. I doubt the NRA will be a vocal supporter of Reid. I do think it would’ve been better had the NRA. Just avoided the opening of the gun park altogether. Reid is gone this Nov unless he can scrap his way out of the political grave he has dug for himself and I don’t see that happening.
WTF would anybody spend money to go to a shooting park in the middle of the frickin desert?
It was a shame Cheney couldn’t make it.
Here is some information about the Clark County Shooting Park:
The Clark County Shooting Park is a member of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the National Association of Shooting Ranges (a division of NSSF), the National Rifle Association (club member) and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. The National Association of Shooting Ranges is a professional association of shooting ranges.
The shooting park site is located on 2,900 acres. Development of the actual shooting areas, however, is much smaller. A larger area was planned to provide a buffer around the shooting areas and provide increased safety. The Public Module presently encompasses 178 acres, and the entire build out will utilize approximately 900 acres. The rest of the 2,000 acres is being managed as a desert natural area and is protected from the off road vehicle damage, random shooting, and criminal activities that previously occurred on the property. This modern shooting park has been designed to protect the environment while providing safe shooting opportunities for the public and complies with all federal, state, and local codes and ordinances. It is estimated that 47% of the households in Clark County own a firearm. When completed this will be the only public shooting range in southern Nevada.
Don't let the MSM divide and conquer us.
The NRA has been instrumental in the legislative successes we have seen across the country lately. I for one will not condemn them nor renounce my membership over this. Whatever they’re doing is working and I hope they keep it up.
Bill Manders on KKOH today said he has told the NRA to shove it over the ties with Harry Reid....
I’ve already let the NRA know how I feel about Reid, I suggest that everyone else do the same!
NRA loves Harry Reid is not a forward and its going viral. I could not believe it so I came here. There are over 100 million gun owners and they are our ticket to win all elections. We have to fight this. We are members of NRA. If they back Reid they are going to get a earful.
Forward:
NRA Still Loves Harry Reid
The National Rifle Association has a record of supporting far more Republicans than Democrats, but theres one powerful Democrat who has a not-so-secret admirer in the NRA Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
The NRA hasnt officially endorsed Sen. Reid, who is facing a tough re-election battle in Nevada, but the gun rights group really loves Reid, an NRA insider tells Newsmax.
Even as tea partyers rallied against Reid in his hometown of Searchlight, Nev., on March 27, Reid was joined by NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre at the official grand opening of a $60 million shooting range Reid helped build north of Las Vegas.
I know how you worked, LaPierre said to Reid at the opening. [This] would not have opened without the work of Sen. Reid.
Reids re-election campaign describes LaPierre as one of the senators supporters, according to CNN.
Since his election to the Senate in 1986, Reid has consistently voted to protect the rights of gun owners and manufacturers:
In 1993, he was 1 of only 8 Democrats to vote against an assault weapons ban.
The following year he voted in favor of a bill preventing third-party lawsuits against gun manufacturers and distributors when their weapons are used illegally.
He voted against legislation that would have made it a federal crime to keep a gun unlocked and loaded for personal protection in the home.
The NRA sent a letter to its members in July 2009 stating that for many years, Harry Reid has been supporting our Second Amendment rights in the U.S. Senate.
At the opening of the shooting range, Reid donned ear plugs to test out his 12-gauge shotgun, Politics Daily reported. After the ribbon cutting, he autographed shell casings.
