The new Obamacare legislation that was forced on unwilling Americans this week specifically mandates that we all purchase health insurance. That is, unless you don't believe in that sort of thing. That's right, the current health care bill contains a clause which exempts certain individuals form the requirements and penalties set forth in it.
" EXEMPTIONS FROM INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS.In the case of an individual who is seeking an exemption certificate under section 1311(d)(4)(H) from any requirement or penalty imposed by section 5000A, the following information:
In the case of an individual seeking exemption based on the individuals status as a member of an exempt religious sect or division, as a member of a health care sharing ministry, as an Indian, or as an individual eligible for a hardship exemption, such information as the Secretary shall prescribe."

'Scuse me. Time for Happy Hour. Er ... I mean ... prayers.
There are three Christian Ministry’s that, I believe, are also exempt.

They share the costs for health care for their members.
What about Christian Scientists?
This could be a significant out.
In all seriousness, we should absolutely inundate the Gestapo with exemption requests. And then appeal them. And appeal the appeals. Tie this claptrap up in red tape until it strangles itself in the crib.
Bingo!
A health care sharing ministry (HCSM) provides a health care cost sharing arrangement among persons of similar and sincerely held beliefs. HCSMs are not-for-profit religious organization acting as a clearinghouse for those who have medical expenses and those who desire to share the burden of those medical expenses. These organizations are known as health care sharing ministries (HCSM).

Interesting. I'll have to look at this further.
This is just like the tax Islamic countries have on non-Muslims. I forget the name. This is insane and violates equal protection.
Why isn’t Drudge or others talking about this?
Correction: They "believe" it when it suits them. BTW, for mandatory car insurance the verdict is that it's haraam, but there's no sin on the individual because the state is forcing it (even though they could choose not to have a car and avoid it, but they get a sort of hardship exemption). Thus, this mandatory health insurance shouldn't be a problem.
Yes, and the American people might believe that if they understood the ramifications of their limits of faith.
It'll be a great argument to make in the current State Attorney Generals' lawsuits.
You say the Shahad with a couple of muzzie witnesses and voila you’re a muzzie. Piece of cake.
I wonder how many times “pro-life” voters across the fifty states have repeatedly voted for abortion candidates, both knowingly and unknowingly? I suspect it is a huge number. If so, that means very few Americans are truly “pro-life.” If pro-life views don’t keep them from voting for such liberal candidates, they are not really pro-life.
Are you participating in Rumspringa?
Ahhh, very interesting. So are muslims allowed an exemption for mandatory car insurance?
Sorry, but too many Catholics voted for this bill. They negated your exemption. Pay up!
Thanks for the info.
So any Muslim caught gambling in Las Vegas should automatically be compelled to buy health insurance?
Amish use these and so do other christians.
