THE ISSUE: Whether presidential candidates today have character, as their predecessors did. In looking for a president with the character of Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman and Ronald Reagan, Ralph Peters asks, "Will we ever again have a president who didn't go to an Ivy League school, who knows what it's like to struggle -- as so many Americans struggle every day -- and who's tasted defeat, but got back in the ring with his dukes up?" ("Why Our 'Post-Modern Presidents' Fail,").
The answer is "yes." Her name is Sarah Palin. etc...

No I am not. I first reacted here to the trashing of Reagan.
That was unnecessary.
This is par for the course lately.
Berating Reagan is what the Giuliani RINOs and Romney RINO's did too. Now it's the McPalin RINOs turn to attack him.
I was thinking the same thing. I was not a Rudy fan at all. I see a lot of the same tactics being used here. Wonder why?

Best potential? Based on what exactly? What about her CV gives you the idea that 70,000,000 Americans will decide that she has the expertise, knowledge and experience to pull the world's largest economy back from the brink and fight two wars and deal with the Mid-East and deal with the Asian Dragon and deal with a resurgent, aggressive Russia and deal with a collapsing European Union and.....
Is it her stint as mayor of a one-horse town or her two years as Governor of a small economic state that tells you she can do all this? Please explain.

"She has charisma. And she still has more executive experiance than our current President."
___________________________________________
Charisma? Robert Redford has charisma. Barbra Striesand has charisma. Hell, obama is awash in the stuff.
As for your second statement...my wife has more executive experience than obama...nearly everybody I know does...that is meaningless unless we set the standard so low that the manager of the nearest Burger King can meet it.
Sorry, try again and please be detailed.
Knocking Palin only demolishes the fever we need to get the job done! Ronald Wilson Reagan was the perfect man in those difficult times. The Conservatives are activated, but aren't interested in listening to those who call us naysayers while being naysayers themselves! Three years is a long time like you said... Too early to count Sarah out also!
McConservatism isn't conservatism at all.
So, what is your agenda ?
View her speeches, as opposed the McCain’s speeches...
She was the true conservative compared to McCain!
That’s why she is so popular to the conservative base.
She would be wise to stay with conservatism. McCain is no help. She should not be actively working to get him reelected because he will be the bane of any conservative GOP President should they win. He will make sure we never get a damn thing conservative accomplished. She would have been far better off to have wished Juan well and moved on. She is a politician you know.
We all want our country back, Some just are not yet ready to throw that mantle to Palin.
She has to work for it. If the GOP fails to turn the country around if given the chance, conservatism is dead.
I suspect it is because you cannot, in detail, state a rational, convincing argument to support your statement. If you had such a rational, convincing argument you would have laid it out, but you haven't.
btw...my agenda is what it always was...get the WH back from the left. That means floating a candidate who can win. I have explained why I believe that Palin cannot. Still waiting for you to explain why she can.
As a Palin supporter, I don’t think she will run unless no other true conservatives step up!
She is spending her time stumping for conservatives(except McCain)
Talk is cheap. View her actions.
I worked at Reagan’s headquarter when he ran for Gov.
Reagan was my Gov. for 8 years.
Reagan never put up with the Left Wing bloggers pushing 18 frivolous law suits through court as Sarah Palin did, which cost her over $500,000 out of her pocket along with
months and months of her time and that of her staff.
After two years one by one all the Frivolous law suits
were dismissed with only more to come to take Sarah Palin’s time and money.
No other Governor has ever had to put up with this to
attempt to totally handcuff her governing her State.
Sarah put her State before herself, in that a State needs a full time Governor not being jammed by the left wing to take her out totally using up her time with Frivolous law suits.
Your constant she quit Crap shows you are desperate and can’t defend your own person for 2012 and can only try
to bash Sarah Palin, the only Conservative Republican who has a chance to beat Obama in 2012.
Okay, that is your opinion. I am not sure that she is the candidate yet.
I think I will wait until we actually have a campaign.
Bot.
Not opinion but facts.
I know the drill with Frivolous lawsuits,
I am ret. legal support with the County Attornys in San Diego
I see you called you posse. I will ignore you, and them.
You do not impress me. I was in before the posse and I know who you are.
Beat it.
Still fighting the good fight between time outs.
tough, you can dish it out but you can’t take it.
Many on FR have never had a life, never worked
for 1 straight year let alone 40.
Good you stick to small town flyOver. You would never make it in the real world.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! Whata way to win voters! Yay
I was banned for “trolling”, I wish I new what that meant. 30% of the posts on FR seem to be trolling.
I guess it’s where you troll.
