Don Imus, for one, is not surprised by Tom Hanks' recent comments calling WWII and the War on Terrorism racist crusades undertaken by the United States.
First brought to his attention by "Imus in the Morning" producer Bernard McGuirk on the show, the remarks were news to the host - just not shocking news.
"Oh darn, what a surprise. We have another panty-wearing liberal dickweed from Hollywood - of course!" Imus told McGuirk.
McGuirk dubbed Hanks "Tehran Tom" for remarks the actor made March 5 on-set of MSNBC to promote "The Pacific," the HBO mini-series he helped produce.

Just the headline made me burst out laughing. I am not an Imus fan, but he’s right on this one.
LoL. Ive never been a fan of Imus and have liked Tom Hanks work, but that there is just funny.
Hanks, Spielberg and their buddy little Opie appear to be the leaders of the Hollywood cabal. America-hating, limousine liberals. McCarthy would have had a field day with these three pixies. They don’t even try to hide their hatred for America and our culture.

Didn’t know I liked Imus until now.
Me too... Band of Brothers was probably the single best thing ever produced for TV. But I won’t support this jackass...

Hanks lost me during an Oscar speech some years back (when I still watched that crap) and he went on and on about his wonderful, gay drama teacher.

I watched the first episode, BTW. Its was as PC as I was afraid it would be.
For whatever reason Hanks/Spielburg don't see the US fighting men in the Pacific as virtuous as those in the European theater.
Hanks and Spielberg should have quit while they were slightly ahead with the Band of Brothers series.
I am not interested in watching this Series at all and I am a history enthusiast.
I have less use for Politically Correct nonsense than I have for J.F. Kerry.
