The sub-head is even worse: "Katie Couric Will Be There Wednesday as He Undergoes the Procedure." Maybe she is going to do a "live remote" from inside the colon walls. She's pretty short.
But, we wonder, why not stay and do the Evening News live from inside the colon? It certainly would give the Tiffany Network a new perspective. They might finally find Jimmy Hoffa or their lost dignity.

Harry Smith will undergo a colonoscopy live tomorrow morning on CBS’ “The Early Show.”
He’ll start the process tonight at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, and be on during the show from 7-9 a.m.
“I’ve said many times on the air it’s no big deal,” Smith said Monday. “The way to make people pay attention is to do it.”
Smith said he was due for a colonoscopy anyway, and co-worker Katie Couric called asking if he would do it on TV.
I don’t want to hear either of these people ever complain about intrusion on their family life, EVER!
I think most people keep things like this PRIVATE for a reason. It’s called common sense.

Can you imagine this being an important ‘news’ story?! Most people know they need to get a colonoscopy at some point in their life without a so-called ‘news’ person lecturing them.
You really only need them every five years anyway unless you have a problem.
It’s not the procedure that is painful, it’s the clean out! Especially if the oral stuff makes ulcers in your mouth!
