DENIED UIPA RESPONSES AFTER DOING INTERNET BACKGROUND CHECKS ON THE POLITICAL VIEWS OF PERSONS MAKING UIPA REQUESTS...
Among the documents which The Post & Email Legal Fund recently acquired with the financial assistance and support of the readers of this e-Newspaper, shocking evidence has been found which apparently indicts officials of the Hawaii Department of Health for conspiracy to deprive U.S. citizens of their constitutional right to due process. The incriminating evidence was found in an inadvertent disclosure of emails between Ms. Janice S. Okubo, Communications Director for the Department, and Kenneth David, Supervisor of the Vital Statistics Office.
It appears that David took it upon himself to do background checks on those making UIPA requests and on that basis suggested to Okubo to deny responding to their lawful requests for the release of government documents, requests which they made on the basis of the grants of rights of access accorded them by the Hawaii Uniform Information Practices Act (UIPA).

Man, if true these guys need to lawyer up and file suit ASAP.
Its the only way we will ever get to the bottom of this, get the right law suit before the courts and then the press will have no choice but to cover it or end up looking like a bunch of hacks as they did during the ARCON Scandal.
So did the people in Hawaii break any specific law? If they did is there a court anywhere that will hear the case or a prosecutor that would bring charges?
I doubt it.
I wonder if they pay the trolls to work on Saturday, or are they considered government employees.
Where there’s smoke, indicates at least a smoldering fire inside the walls somewhere.
So the firemen have to keep hacking holes in the inside walls, until the source of that smoke is either extinguished or exposed to the open.
This is not the first time that obfuscation, dissimulation and misdirection have been used to shift attention away from uncomfortable facts. The steps being taken are eerily similar to the efforts to resist the investigations and revelations made by Senator Joe McCarthy some sixty years ago.
The conspiracy reaches some very high places. That makes what is going on no less of a conspiracy.
Unbelievable.
They should sue immediately.
What do you imagine they were promised or treatened with to elicit such conduct?
I do know there’s a whole lot of people with a vested interest in seeing that the elusive long form never sees the light of day. And it’s not just democrats.
“The incriminating evidence was found in an inadvertent disclosure of emails between Ms. Janice S. Okubo...and Kenneth David, Supervisor of the Vital Statistics Office.”
How could confidential info like this be “found” ? I am THRILLED that it was, but seems unlikely for State officials
to release (inadvertently or not) ANY private communications ?
John Charleton suggests sending ALL complaints regarding misconduct (OIP and DoH) to “Ombundsman” is that an official in HI ?
Yeah, except maybe for the “un” part. ;’)
No surprises there...what’s that law they are trying to pass in Hawaii that labels anyone who makes enquiries as ‘crazy’?
Actually that one has taken a little sip of the cool aid. His parents separated no later than a few weeks after his birth, not when he was 2 years old. Very likely they never lived together.
He was not quite one when his father left Hawaii for Harvard. While it's not yet been determined exactly when he and he mother moved back to Hawaii from Seattle, it was definitely after his father left. His mother left U. Washington after the spring quarter, which would have been just a little after Sr's departure for the mainland. She did not re-enroll at U-Hawaii until fall semester of '63. So where she and Jr wer between late spring '62 and fall of '63 is not known, AFAIK.
obumpa
Not surprising, remember the arrests over hiding info on his passport.....think that was right document, gov employees doing research on gov machines for private folks, LOL or something like that.
