Sources within NBC News have confirmed that things are more dire than we originally thought. Veteran correspondents are cringing and are openly embarrassed by Olbermann's self-absorbed theatrics.
Please keep in mind that nobody - nobody at all - is saying that Keith may not actually be concerned for his father or that there is not a genuine health issue. However, some are suggesting that his bizarre reactions are really symptoms of a much more troubling mental issue for a guy allegedly once accused of stalking multiple women.
The latest in this spectacle is the bizarre roof-top special comment that appeared on Monday's Countdown.

This article indicates that there are rational people in management within NBC. I refuse to believe it. Utter trash. This same management decided Olberdork was a rising star.

NBC (and MSNBC, included) is hostile to conservative (and Republican in general) in practically all elements of its broadcast: political talk show (Olbermann, Meadow, Matthews), midnight show (Leno), TV series (Law & Order), and news (Williams). Other stations of course have their share of left-wing politics, but not consistently across the board like NBC.
It’s official. The guy does not have all his dogs barking at once.
Maddow is extremely left wing, but she’s at least serious about what she’s discussing. Olbermann is truly unhinged. He’s a narcissist who can’t believe that he’s losing in the ratings and it’s literally driving him crazy.
