Rep. Deal (R) stepping down, making House vote on ObamaCare that much closer

Soon-to-be former Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga.
An e-mail alert from Congress Daily:
Rep. Nathan Deal, R-Ga., announced today he will resign from Congress to devote his "full energies" to the governor's race, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. One of seven Republicans seeking the GOP nomination for governor, Deal will step down from the House next Monday.
The earliest Deal would be replaced is probably late July, when Georgia holds its 2010 primary election.
Among other things, this means ObamaCare is one vote closer to passage. Democrats will now need only 216 votes in the House for a majority, and there is one less "no" vote. By Rep. Eric Cantor's whip count, though, Democrats are probably more than ten votes short -- for now.
Please call or email his offices ASAP (link to email below):

Obama has been called out on regular bribery after the Landreau and Nelson fiasco.
Blackmail and murder are the next options. Look for more unexplained moves and more pets belonging to politicians getting dirt napped.
Supposedly San Fran Nan is going to rush the House vote to just before the Easter recess. He can’t wait until then???
If this socialist tragedy passes by one vote, Deal has no chance in the world of winning the election.
Deal’s a smart cookie, so I’d say he’s fine. But I wish he’d make this issue public and splain it.
Deal is being selfish and stupid. He is worried that the House is going to slap him with an ethics violation so that Rangel is not hanging out all alone.
He should take one for the team and stay put.
Exactly. Call his office and demand that he not abandon his country just before the potentially country-changing ObamaCare vote!!!
lol what a jerk
Well then call and demand that he explain himself. This is no time for him to be devoting himself full-time to pursuits other than protecting our great country from ObamaCare.
Can the Governor of Georgia, who is a Republican, seat another Republican House Rep right after he resigns?
Call and threaten to do you part in sicking the Tea Party on his sorry a** if he abandons his country on the eve of the ObamaCare vote!
I asked Deal’s office about that, and they said they were unclear on how long it will take. He needs to stay put until that’s all worked out. Call, call, call....threaten, threaten, threaten!!!
See there is a difference in the 2 factions of the corrupt parties. One stands on ideology, the other just goes his own selfish way which could allow for destroying America. If the (R) party weren’t so stupid & truely cared they would make sure he never got 33% vote for govenorship in the primary. However, they won’t do anything - probably support him. That’s the game in this corrupt “Two-Party Cartel”.
Just called his office and voiced my displeasure with his stepping down before the critical Healthcare vote and told the receptionist that I will not vote for him as governor if he leaves before this is said and done.
Hmmm...wonered whether Zero blackmailed him or threatened him. He was asking Zero for the BC.
Springtime has been long in coming to Ft.Marcy Park. Time for a few quiet moments of solitude out there. Followed by some muffled Bangs of course.................
Deal wants to resign before ethics charges against him are made public. He wants the ethics charges to disappear so he can run for governor in Georgia. If he quits before the healthcare vote, he can forget any ideas about being Georgia’s next governor.
What are the ethics charges?
When I saw Rangel and Patterson, both black politicos’ getting keel hauled in the same week, I just knew that there were some deals struck to out a similar number on ethics charges on the other side.
What an A$$. I don’t live in the 9th district, but I call and make it clear that does not have my vote for Gov if he pulls this stunt.
