Do you feel the incessant need to blame Republicans for all the evil in the world? Do you breakdown into fits of crocodile tears? Do you constantly say that America must be unified to defeat Democrats when were already unified against the liberal agenda? Do you feel that a third party will solve all of Americas ills? If youve answered yes to any of the above questions, then youre likely a Becker.

Washington warned us of the dangers of political parties. Maybe instead of a third-party, we need no political parties?
BTW, Ive never heard Beck advocating a third party.
Its fun to see all of the ebstalishment types whine.
Must be painful to see the conservative agenda actually being advanced.
Not a "Becker" by the author's self styled definition. I agree with Beck's analysis and alarm concerning the forward march of "progressives" (a camouflage term for socialist oppression if there ever was one) in this country. I get tired of the melodrama he uses though, but that's just me.
The fact is that there are republicans in executive and congressional power past and present who have drunk the progressive kool-aid and passed it around and that trend has been going up. If Beck is killing sacred cows in the GOP and being labeled a 3rd party usurper because of it, I say GOOD! The GOP needs to be shaken to its core. If Beck is doing that then he is doing conservatism an invaluable service.
The GOP is riddled with progressive cancer and requires massive chemo treatment in the form of Beck and anyone else who has the balls to call out liberals flying a republican flag for cover.
BTW, I'm pretty sure I've heard Beck publicly disavow the 3rd party meme on Fox for all the same reasons every other rational person does, so this author's diatribe is just so more misleading fear mongering bullsh*t I've come to expect from GOP party hacks too afraid and in denial to confront their disease.
Beck isn't there yet but he's coming close to being put in the "useful you know what" category. His educational outreach on the evils of the left is wonderful. But if the end result is to split the opposition and elect Democrats, it was all for nothing.
“Washington warned us of the dangers of political parties. Maybe instead of a third-party, we need no political parties?”
Interesting thought ;-)
The “Beckers” are too busy worshipping their snake oil salesman to see the light so to speak.
So what part of Beck’s “smaller, more Constitutional government” do you not agree with? How many big government “Republicans” are on your “untouchables” list?
Or are you just reflexively disagreeing with him because he dares to question the status quo?
Or as Bush43 put it, if you aren’t with us, you are against us.
Are you part of a new GOP axis of weasels?
Inquiring minds want to know...
I’m not in favor of any big government or RINOs, but we are long since past that time now. Now is the time to encourage those Republicans who are willing to stand up for America, not berate them.
Gots to admit, I enjoy a nip of that snake oil now and then myself. I knows Teddy Roosevelt was a progressive, knowed it all my life but, still, a slug of reinforcement does a body good.
Dangerous to those who never drank this stuff before tho. They ain't aware sometimes people spike the good snake oil with rubbing alcohol.
Those references to the evils of "factions" were to those who opposed Federalism and what became the Federalist party...to those who opposed the structure the Federalists had created....i.e...Jacobins, infidels, democrats (yes that word entered the political lexicon as a accusation).
LOL!
I’ll let the “Great One “ answer for me:

I believe most folks who listen to Beck would say he makes sense most of the time, but that not all his voiced opinions fit with all listeners. Most of us are independent minded, and yes we see the short falls of trying to ignite a third party, at least for the 2012 election. The T’s are looking for folks to shake up the DC power structure, not a god-being to usher in a new America. The T’s will make up for what the Repubs have squandered and take back what the Dems have stolen. The T’s are here to stay, and they ain’t gunna roll over when threatened that the Dems could win again if we don’t support Repub nominees. They better learn, that a lot of us would rather vote to elect a solid conservative Dem or Ind rather that a squishy RINO.
Like hell. Now is EXACTLY the time to hash out differences. Later on, it'll be calls for Unity no matter how liberal a RINO wins the "popularity" contest.
I was until 2006, when I switched to independent when renewing my DL. I haven't voted for a Democrat in my life, and I think the last Dem anyone in my family voted for nationally was Humphrey. We have given 10's of thousands to Republicans / RNC / RNSC, etc. over the years.
But I see one trajectory in Washington, and it is unchanged in it's direction regardless of who is in power. Every year the scope and scale and reach of the Federal Government grows, and it fails to accomplish even the most basic things we expect of it (borders, immigration, national security.) After 12 years of Republicans owning the Congress, and 6 years of them owning all of DC, I saw prescription drug plans and amnesty plans and open borders and new plans for the Dept. of Ed. and political correctness and failed commissions and all the same CRAP I had attributed to Democrats being driven by Republicans.
Beck is right. It is not enough to suck less, or simply slow the slide to socialist big government. It is time to turn it around.
And this juvenile, style oriented, elitist sounding smack talk about Beck on this thread is the exact sort of stupidity that "Republicans" are famous for. Get divided and stay that way. I personally don't watch Beck because I don't own a TV. But I saw the CPAC speech, I appreciate that he has been a strident critic of this administration, and he is responsible for educating people to the danger of progressive rot infesting BOTH parties.
You may like someone else more based on content or style. Frankly, I am glad for Limbaugh, Beck, Boortz, Cain, Ingrahm, Coulter, et al ... they are ALL a much needed balance to the spin of the MSM, and Conservatives should be grateful for ALL of them.
And the people are deciding that via elections right now. Beck should be praising their choices in Rubio, Christie, etc...
Here’s how “Beckers” treat you when you criticize their idol. Read the thread and enjoy the insults as they fly as quickly as snow in Vancouver.
Sorry Rush and Bill - hate to break it to you but most of us Beck fans are ecstatic over his message. And everyone we know are HUGE FANS WHO WISH FOX NEWS WOULD REPLACE BECK IN O'REILLEY’S SPOT!!!
I would strongly disagree with that, but we can agree to disagree.
Just for the history lessons on obscure topics and events, he's worth watching.
It infuriates the "business as usual" professional politicians and their parasites.
I couldn't care less.
When the crybabies start refuting facts and figures, instead of just whining, I might take them seriously.
LOL!
