Your statement

"We cant afford to split apart in order to massage someone's ego we need to unite to fight the enemies of liberty; the current power base of the democrat party this November."

Now I am not likely to follow anyone on the radio, I prefer to make up my own mind on who to vote for....

But with respects, I don't see anything that the Republicans throw up with a spine to stand up to these idiot democrats. They capitulate on everything and refuse to take a stand and get stonewalled (even when they were in the majority) they continually bend over and force us to pay for their lack of spine.

Except for one thing, Beck is ardently anti-third party.

We have enough to do getting quality Conservatives lined up.

Beck is not about a third party. He is making the point that there are liberals/Progressives in the Republican party too. We all know many examples. If Conservatives are not in control of the Republican party, at best we only slow down the march to Socialism/Fascism. Conservatives can attain control through the primary process. Go JD Hayworth. I will tell you, too, that the election of Michael Castle to the Senate in Delaware is as useful as Biden’s son. It is true that he will vote for a Republican leader and when everybody else is voting Republican, so will he, but the first hard, close vote that comes along when you really need his vote, he’ll be right there with the Democrats. Beck would ask, what’s that doin’ for us?

I think the key to this whole third party concept is to fight like hell in the primaries. Don't be afraid to get involved in primaries on either side of the aisle. When it comes to the general, pick a viable candidate, even if you have to hold your nose.

The key is to infiltrate and drive those parties to the right.

I will not do is follow a talk show host off the cliff whatever his motives; good or bad.

I wonder how many people said about Reagan "I will not follow an actor off the cliff whatever his motives". Come to think of it didn't Reagan have a radio show too?

Still don't even know who the hell is running anyways so it's kind of fruitless to start saying we're splitting the vote. For all we know the GOP could try to run McCain again. Or the GOP could go Dede Scozzafava trying to bring in those left wingers. Could be Mitt "Obamacare lite" Romney. Could be Mike "I don't know when to bow out" Huckabee.

Sorry but I'm done with parties. I'm voting for the best candidate period. If he comes from the GOP that's great. If not well I'm done with the GOP because it'd be obvious they couldn't learn from their mistakes.

Seeing this is an anti Beck thread, I just can't resist.

Until the Republicans start acting like Republicans and not Democrat lite I will not support any of them. Period!

I have had so many years of the same bull promised over and over and over. I refuse to back the McCain's and now Crist's of this world again just because someone is worried about electing a party name.

It means nothing to me if they say they are Republican and in the next breath say the stimulus worked or that we need cap and trade.

If your a regular listener to him on radio you understand how he attacks both parties as the same.

This is why as much as you love him, hang on every word he may be the greatest asset to the Obama's agenda.(Ironic)

I don't trust Beck anymore and this is the prime reason. He's just plain lying when he says there's no difference between the dems and the GOP. It's demonstrably false and this year should provide the proof to anyone who's fair minded enough to look at the whole picture. Sure the GOP screwed up in 2006 and deserved to get knocked down an peg but this is 2010 and it's a whole different world.

It's like the electorate is rushing to the GOP and beck is trying to throw them off course. He doesn't like Republicans...just look at the churlish and childish attitutde he displayed when Scott Brown won. You couldn't have been blamed if you thought he was rooting for the democrats. Who knows...maybe he secretly was/is?

Beck is now, and always has been, over rated. He’s a spotlight lover - so long as it’s always shining on him.

I am sorry folks I know many of you on this site are very sensitive to any criticism of Beck but its not about him its about the future existence of our way of life and the strategy for defeating Obama's policies.

Beck has many fans here, most of whom are also fair-minded critics when he is wrong, which he is on several subjects.

I don't recall Beck advocating Third Party, but at the same time he's not for following someone because they have an (R) after their name.

I like Glenn and he has done a great service in exposing the Obama agenda. He gets most of the credit for that.

He does need to be very cautious about equating the actions of the left with all republicans as being no different, because they are for the most part.

The RINOs get the blame on our side for sure, but this notion that every single pubbie needs to be tossed out is a bad idea. Those people that tout how they will walk across the aisle need to be walked right out of office. All of them.

If we have any chance to win in upcoming elections, we need to purge RINOs out in primaries and replace them in 2010. We will still be stuck with garbage like Linseed. But lets neuter him (ugh, awful thought/mind picture) LOL

We also need to unite and pick our battles wisely.

I don’t see good prospects until the GOP changes the primary process. We cannot let the democrats choose our candidate for us. I think the time has come to give some other states who really never get a primary selection a chance to participate.

Here's the deal with Glenn Beck. He can be highly entertaining and informative. I probably agree with him on his stands on most issues. Having said that, he is a doom-and-gloomer. He tells us over and over how horrible things are. As for the solutions, he speaks in generalaties, such as "stop the spending". But he never gives credit when credit is due when something good happens. The election of Scott Brown in Massachusetts is the perfect example. Brown may not be 100% conservative on every issue, but, gee, don't you think he's a slight improvement over Teddy Kennedy??? Kennedy wanted his legacy to be government health care. Brown campaigned on being #41 (the all-important 41st vote to stop the bill in the Senate). Brown is strong on national defense and he campaigned on cutting spending, something Beck is supposedly for. So what were Beck's comments the day after Brown won? He trashed Brown for what Brown jokingly said about his daughters.

Beck's "schtick" is to tell you how HORRIBLE AND HOPELESS things are. He can't admit that anything good is happening anywhere, because he's afraid it will spoil his gig. How can he get you all riled up and angry if he does a show about something positive happening in politics. He's like a guy who believes the world is about to end due to global warming and has big ratings warning people about the dangers. Could such a guy ever show any facts or figures that dispel global warming?! Of course not. He'd lose his audience. Likewise, Beck's popularity has risen because of his doom-and-gloom theme. He's going to beat that horse until it's deader than dead. If you think I'm full of it, please provide a list of things that have happened in politics that Beck has been very happy about, excited about, and/or said it was a great thing.

When you begin worshipping the messenger and not the message we become vulnerable for a fall and in this case that involve losing our way of life.

++++++++++++++++++++

As oppossed to worshipping the GOP huh? The GOP is very brave when what they do doesn’t matter much and even now they are entirely too silent. Where were they when it mattered? Too often voting alongside the Democrats, thats where.

Now of course we are to believe they have seen the error of their ways, or at least the poll results of what people think of them.

Talk, and more talk but never any action.

Glen Beck called them out on it in a rather mild way and they don’t like it so, he has been made the target of the DC insiders in order to keep the sheeple in line.
