The Glenn Beck/Debra Medina Sucker Punch
CFP ^ | 2/15/10 | Bob Parks

Posted on 02/15/2010 9:21:06 AM PST by pissant

Let’s say I had a television show and I asked a political candidate some questions regarding, let’s say, about the other entrenched lifer candidates, local issues, state and federal issues, the Constitution, and then asked if he or she believed Babe Ruth was really black or if Barack Obama was really a United States citizen or if there was a 9/11 conspiracy.

Let’s say an answer was given I didn’t like. Would that alone disqualify me from holding public office?

I will admit, I did like some of the things Beck’s said over the last year on Fox News and previous years on radio, but he may have just shown us just how full of himself he really is.

Personally, I’d like to see some new blood running Texas. Rick Perry straddled the bonehead fence when he started talking about secession, Kay Bailey Hutchinson appears to feel she’s entitled to the governorship after many flaky years in the US Senate.

And while we’re at it, let’s talk conspiracy.

Sarah Palin is now a Beck compadre at Fox News. Sarah Palin endorsed Rick Perry. Debra Medina was surging in the polls. Beck throws a beanball at Medina in an attempt to knock her out of the race. How ironic it would be that liberals could use a Glenn Beck audio clip to take out a Republican.

I’ve already made my views (then doubts) about Beck known when I saw him pandering to black Republicans on a weekend show, complete with jungle-looking graphics, trying to come off as a potential savior who understands. I’ve never bought his crying like a pussy, and I’ve rejected every attempt he’s made to make himself a 9/12, tea party grand poohbah.

“why no policemen and so many firemen were killed in the Towers on 9/11”

She displayed her ignorance right there.

As Howard Dean once said, “YEEEEAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!”

I could even forgive Howard Deans pep rally enthusiasm in front of a bunch a young volunteers. I always thought that was a Clinton orchestrated case of the vapors over that. Lot’s of reasons to hate him, but i never thought that was the one.
But a person that cant answer NO when asked if the US Government orchestrated 911 is unqualified. Thats insane, it’d be like saying you went to all 57 states or something.

Here's the kicker and Beck summed it up really well.

Where are we as a nation if we really believe that the powers that be would willingly to sacrifice 30,000 to 100,000 citizens.

As much as do not like some of the things Pres Bush did, I would die before I believed that he knew anything about it and did nothing.

Paranoia is no substitute for faith.

>> [...] given what we know of Hutchinperry, I’ll take the noob Medina and her loony truther $#@!$@#! over incumbent power-grabbers every time.

I completely disagree. There must be lines we will not cross, standards we will not compromise, points at which someone who is otherwise the best candidate in the world must be simply told to “drop dead”. Those candidates who give credence to anti-American propagandists need not apply for my vote ... as far as I am concerned, her candidacy no longer exists.

Fundamentally, I believe she is a “truther” ... and thus an aider-and-comforter of avowed enemies of this republic. She is the anti-American equivalent of someone who is withholding judgment on the existence of the Holocaust because of questions asked by Holocaust-deniers.

She is ineligible for office, and no longer an option. Thus, there are two choices — Hutchinson or Perry.

If ignorance was a crime we would have nobody eligible to vote.

In elections OR Congress. lol

The fact of the matter is it is hard to know what sources to trust. That’s what happens when neither the government nor the media has any credibility. We are in a fine pickle. And I applaud anybody who brings attention to that fact.

I don’t believe William Perry wanted to kill 3,000.

All he wanted was to cover his a$$. He was a crook and didn’t want to get caught. Par for the Washington DC course.

What else will our corrupt government do as CYA? Whatever it is, the American people will ALWAYS be the ones who suffer for it.

If we can’t get a handle on the lawlessness within our own government it will literally kill us.

I agree, and I certainly don’t think Beck could have predicted Medina would give such a boneheaded answer.

And Beck is calling Obama a communist (which he is) who associated deeply with Bill Ayers (which he did) who with his buddies (according to Larry Grathwahl) planned for the execution of 25 million Americans who they anticipated would not be successfully “red-educated” in the re-education camps the communists would set up.

Who does Beck think he’s playing with here? If you swallow the whole hog, Beck’s claims that Obama shares the vision of Bill Ayers and has been working toward those goals his whole life...... means that Obama has been figuring he’ll need to kill about 25 million of us.

20,000 to 30,000 Americans (and I’m not sure where your numbers are coming from) is piddles compared with that. Beck doesn’t seem to comprehend the magnitude of what he’s claiming.

But he doesn’t want to be labeled a “conspiracy theorist” so he will throw rocks at somebody who isn’t totally sure what to say about what our government has been up to.

I hadn’t considedred that possibility. But, then, why wasnt’t he questioned as to that connection, and charged with complicity in the Murrah Bldg. bombing?
Possibly he was thus questioned, and his complicity made known (admitted) to his interrogators, but for strategic reasons not known to you or me, no Murrah Bldg charges were levelled against him, at least not publicly.
The beat goes on.

Well. it could be said that when he sprung the trap, she couldn’t know, if she said NO, I don’t believe any of that garbage, that he wouldn’t have thrown 10 reasons for doubt at her. I HAvE been wondering why people like Beck and Dan Patrick, who I admire, have been bashing her so hard.

However, Beck is the one pointing out, every day, that it isn’t about pube and rat, they are both Progressive parties and that it is that philosophy that has destroyed our Republic.

Brian Kilmeade had an interesting take... he said that position has been becoming less and less unacceptable lately, so if she believes that, go ahead and say it and defend it instead of getting all mushy mouth,

one thing for certain liberals hang together and unified, no matter what

republicans on the other hand splinter all over the place and turn of each other quickly.

Sarah met Perry at the Governors meetings while she was Governor. She is supporting the Conservatives and Republicans and ‘new blood’ where she believes in it. She owes McCain and does agree with his defense dept. stance, which is vital. National security is in need of being strengthened. .

Good for Sarah Palin.

Well, then, we also disagree as to the depth of potential damage that could occur, and it’s that simple. Feel free to take your Republicrat or Demmican in the primary. I’ll take the loony third choice, and revel in watching the Rinos in Austin shudder about it, knowing full well a Debra Medina won’t be going any farther than the Texas Governor’s non-mansion. You enjoy sleeping at night over the choice of advancing a RINO, because we both know darn well Hutchinperry have their own plans for future office. I wouldn’t chance helping either of them get there, and I don’t think a Governor Medina burbling in a white suit and rubber room could do nearly the damage those two already have.
