The chattering class was entranced with candidate Barack Obama. So literate. So polished. So cool. We were assured that his lack of executive experience was irrelevant. After all, he ran a campaign. And then there were his years as a community organizer and Harvard Law Review editor, which showed well it showed something about his magnificent intellectual skills. But it turns out he lacks some key abilities executive leadership, decisiveness, deal-making prowess, flexibility, and basic people skills that are essential to a successful presidency.
This is not simply the conclusion of conservatives. The entire country witnessed his agonizing decision-making process on the Afghanistan war strategy. Now on health-care reform, his own party is frustrated and dismayed with the non-governing president. As this report notes:

Exactly. Great post.
The reason I voted for him was that he had visited all 57 states like it says on Teresa Heinz catsup, and he shook the hands of many corpse men! He’s my idol!
Hey, come-on, I didn’t even see your post and you beat me to it by a mile! Oh well, geniuses do think alike!
OK now it all makes sense. The reason he was qualified to be the affirmative action president was because he was the affirmative action harvard law review editor.
Not only that, but I believe I read somewhere that his position is an elective one, voted on by other Law Review members. It was a popularity contest and he had about as much influence on the Law Review as Queen Elizabeth exerts on Britain.
An “educated” moron is still a moron!
I actually did read an interview with another student who had been on the Law Review at the same time. I don’t know how this interview slipped out and I don’t remember where I saw it (possibly posted on FR).
In any case, the student said that “Barry,” as he was known then, never showed up for meetings and never did any work, and in fact published only one small piece (not even signed, IIRC) in the Law Review during that time. However, on those rare occasions when he did appear, he swanned in and expected to be treated like a celebrity, apparently demanding much deference and fawning. How little has changed...
Isn’t it weird that none of his class mates or room mates from anywhere have come forward and been interviewed?
Not even an old lover (kinda wonder about that gender thingie too).
W.T. Sherman
Mowgli doesn’t get it.
From what I understand, he only published one paper during his entire time at the Review, and while he was “the Editor”, he never wrote or published anything. No Editorials, no opinions, nothing.
Whether it was a figurehead position or another example of him attaining a high-status position and then just shamming his way through without any tangible performance, is open to conjecture.
The results are the same however - he got the job and then did nothing with it. Sounds familiar.
He's just an overrated, overreaching, underachieving “Title Collector”, padding his resume at the expense of others.
His lack of executive experience was irrelevant. That didn’t play out to well what the hey it’s only a trillion here a trillion millions of people out of work record numbers of homes lost, progressives should be an open season on them.
Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. was not the “Editor” of the Harvard Law Review, he was the “President.” Big difference.
“The Editor” writes and edits. The “Presdident” schedules board meetings and delegates production.

Oh, sheesh! More Obama scam. Being editor is a big deal. Being “President” (admin) is nowhere near as big a deal.
The Editor writes and edits. The Presdident schedules board meetings and delegates production.

I read on the internet many months ago about this theory: Previous persons in Obama's high position at Harvard usually were granted internships or clerkships at the highest judges in the land, but, for some unknown reason, Obama did not accept such a clerkship and went back to Chicago.
Some people on the internet theorized that Obama was scared that a detailed search into his background by government agencies like the FBI would turn up damaging information on Obama.
So Obama, to protect himself, did not apply for a plum clerkship with any of the prestigious judges in the land.
I can’t load you-tubes, but I appreciate the thought. I bet it was good too. FRegards ....
I read once that the rules were changed for the disadvantaged. Maybe even for him, I can’t remember. At any rate he is the EEOP President.
