The ‘p’ is silent, just like in psychiatrist, something he evidently needs.

I would like to make note that there are no Marine Corps personal in the medical field. The US Marine Corps uses Navy personal for their medical and religious duties. If Mr Obama were to look at the US Marine Corps, he could simply add man to the end of corps.
