Arlen Specter would say that the latest Franklin and Marshall Poll is not "acting like a lady" According to poll released today, if the Pennsylvania election was held today, Specter would be retired to the farm tomorrow.

The poll reports that republican challenger Pat Toomey leads Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania by double digits, 45 percent of likely voters back Toomey, with 31 percent supporting Specter and 20 percent undecided.

As recently as December the same poll showed Specter and Toomey were tied. Specter, a five-term senator, switched parties from Republican to Democrat last spring announcing to the Democratic party, "I am your 60th vote." Of course Scott Brown's victory has made Specter the 59th vote

I take no joy in other peopls’ problems, however, Mr. Specter needs to leave the Senate. He has been there too long and done little good for the nation.

Bub-bye, Arlen.

This makes it more likely he’ll get bumped off in the primary. That would be a shame. I’d like to see Toomey beat him.

Specter won’t even get the Dem nomination. Sestak will be the nominee.

If Arlene would just act like a lady, this wouldn’t be happening.

I'll bet he doesn't even make it to the primary. He'll see the writing on the wall, the dem heads will apply appropriate pressure, and he'll retire and withdraw from the race.

That's sort of what I see as the new dem strategy to grasp onto power. Force out the most vulnerable, then run a "fresh" candidate.

I agree. That would be just deserts for the old fool.

However the Party will dump him in favor of Sestak, who is not only younger but is more in the fold as the KoolAid drinking tool that is the perfect Obamabot.

His Naval service, albeit starkly UNdistinguished, makes a good deception for the lemming voter as well, a la Dick Durbin and John Murtha.

You will rarely see Sestak in any of his tireless efforts to raise his profile that he does not manage to mention his naval service. Reminds one of John Kerry who, if you hadn't heard, served in Viet Nam.

All these dems are going to find cushy appointed govt jobs to go to where they are unaccountable. I am sure deals are being made to take care of them. THe ranks of the czars are going to swell. Same with ACORN.

That said, I still want them beaten and humiliated in their races.

Maybe. But Specter is pretty hard headed and has never been one to pay attention to what the team needs. With any luck he'll as big a pain in the rear for them as he was for us.

Maybe Arlen should go out and pimp his Magic Bullet theory, so people remember who he really is. A POS Scumbag who wouldn’t know truth if it slapped him upside his head.

Ira Einhorn - It amazes me that Sphincter could be elected to the Senate after defending Einhorn. Then again, Kennedy killed somebody so I guess anything’s possible.

He’s done. I think he put the last nail in his own coffin when he told Michelle Bachmann to act like a lady. He sounded like a real jerk.

And if Specter loses the primary? What’s the spread between Toomey and Sestak?
