Jon Stewart Mocks Obama for Using Teleprompters in a Sixth Grade Classroom - Video 1/25/10

Here is video of Jon Stewart last night mocking President Obama and his advisers for making the huge gaffe of setting up the Presidential podium and his teleprompters in a sixth grade classroom recently.

Obama was not using the prompters to speak to the students, as some have erroneously reported, but he did speak to the media in another classroom using the podium and the teleprompters. The backdrop of the elementary school classroom made the appearance look totally ridiculous! It does make you wonder why no one on the President's team - or Obama himself - had the common sense to think it looks silly to drag TOTUS to a school classroom. . . . (VIDEO)

I assume they knew Obama would look even sillier trying to give a speech WITHOUT the TOTUS.

What other president needed a teleprompter to talk to the media? Does that mean that they had to submit any questions before hand, so that 0bama could be fed the answers by the prompter? Or was it a one way deal with the media, 0bama pontificating, and the media dutifully writing it down, no questions allowed.

That’s may be the problem exactly. They are scared to death what he will say off-prompter.

They're working on that, too.

Jon Stewart was RIPPING into Obama like a starving wolf into a deer carcass. Obama’s in trouble when comedy shows decide he’s a good target for mockery.

I watched the whole statement by BO. For someone who pretends to be a leader to have to READ FROM A SCRIPT for 5 and a half minutes about something supposedly SO IMPORTANT to him is laughable. The statement really wasn’t about education, it was about throwing money at a problem, all courtesy of the federal government.

He is the biggest empty suit to every be in the highest office in our land. Reminds me of a sterotypical dumb blonde news anchor who is told to just go out and READ THE WORDS IN FRONT OF YOU.

I am convinced he doesn’t really know, sometimes, where he is or what he is doing. He is blindly following his handlers. Not that he is an innocent dove—he wants the socialist agenda, but on *particulars*, he has shown again and again he really is brain dead.

Remember the network anchor correcting him as a candidate about the effects of capital gains taxes? Remember how he said the health care bill did not amount to a “tax increase” when the word “tax” was specifically used? How about his gaffe about the post office—a non-scripted moment that showed Americans how out-of-touch he is with their lives. His OBVIOUS irritation about being called off the golf course 3 days after the attempted Christmas Day terror attack is another example of his inept way of handling situations.

Even in the “fun” things a President does, he is a whiny little girl. I recall him griping about the “pardon of the turkey” last Thanksgiving.

OBAMA=FAILURE.

OMG that one photoshopped pic of him using a telepromter to use the toilet was far more visionary that I thought!!!

The teleprompter is too visible.

The next step is a direct neural connection to George Soros' keyboard.

Calling Joe Klein. Did someone say common sense?

This is a good development. John McCain's campaign was effective for one brief, shining moment: when it mocked Obama and made him an object of ridicule. They called him the world's biggest celebrity and made fun of him talking like he was Moses parting the red sea and he lost his cool. It showed a character flaw of Obama's, he cannot stand to be mocked. So McCain's polls started to rise, Obama's fell, he started lashing out and I have to guess McCain did what he always does, told his team not to press the advantage. Wouldn't be civil, you know. Anyway, they stopped doing it and Obama took back the initiative.

Get angry with Obama, he just laughs and says "I won." Argue with him that history shows that he's wrong and he just says "The difference between then and now is you've got me now". He is sure he is superior so regular cirticism just rolls off his back. But laugh at him and he gets angry, and then he makes mistakes.

Funny.

If The O thinks the previous year was difficult on him, I have a feeling this next year may be merciless from many in the press and many comedians.

Spot on. I wish Repub’s would realize this. Ridicule him. He cannot handle it. Repubs need to get some good psychoanalysis on this dude. They can help obama destroy himself.

I’ve said since day one that this Presidency is equivalent to the first time my parents left me for a weekend at home. I was 15, and was left alone for the weekend - they even took my 13 year old sister.

I’ll be so happy when the adults return and are back in charge.

He looks equally silly talking to reporters using a teleprompter... as he would talking to 6th graders.
