Hayworth faced ethical scrutiny during his unsuccessful reelection campaign for his ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff, whose Native-American clients contributed $100,000 to his campaigns. He is still paying off legal debt that he accumulated preparing for a possible federal investigation in connection with the Abramoff scandal.

Are you aware that during the 1980s, McCain took bribes and kickbacks from Charles Keating, whose Savings and Loan was later bailed out by the U.S. taxpayer? Of course not.
Are you aware that you don't know what you are talking about?

If anyone with enough political insight to be posting on here to say they know nothing ab out JD is either a liar or just plain stupid. JD was a regular topic on FR while he was in office and also after. He was also on the political talks as often as he could especially during the amnesty debates. Lots of time on FoxNews. Sorry Charlie, only real tuna get to be StarKist.

Obviously in all that extensive reading she does she never came across the Keating Five.
On the contrary, she probably did read the actual details and discovered that the demoncrats hand-picked lawyer, Bob Bennett, said McCain did nothing wrong and should be exonerated. Now who needs to do some "extensive reading" again?

Whenever they needed that one vote, McCain was always there to deliver his hand across the aisle to appear bipartisan.
Come one, that dog won't hunt. McCain has made some huge mistakes on positions over his career, but I don't think it's to pay back the demoncrats for not prosecuting him. Again, the demoncrats own lawyer told the demoncrats "McCain did nothing wrong. There's no there, there. He should be exonerated". Now if McCain did nothing wrong and no proof to show that he did, why would he have to sell out again? And just how do you think it works? Does he call up the demoncrats and say "do I have to vote with you guys on this one? Or are we even now?"

I never said that I didn't know anything about him.
I know enough about JD Hayworth to make me uncomfortable with him. His appearances on the television news shows always left me with the impression that he was a snake oil salesman. His dealings with Jack Abramoff should make anyone who demands ethical behavior question his judgment.

True. The more I find out about Hayworth, the more I understand why Sarah endorsed John McCain.

Lord McCain is a political pimp that spends most of his time sleeping and frolicking with liberal liars and crooks. I will NEVER forgive him his eight years of poking conservatives in the eye for NOT electing him in 2000.
And lord McCain is for closing Gitmo, and he demanded that resolution against 'water-boarding' as though our military were a bunch of uncivilized thugs.
AND sweet justice was dealt out on his own self absorbed divining of who can speak and who cannot, when the Supremes smacked his feeble mind this week by returning 'freedom' of speech to every American.

You can kiss up to McCain all you want. There is little separating McCain from a democrat so your mention of a democrat’s praise for him counts as faint praise indeed. I am not ashamed of anything except that the backstabbing, reach across RINO thinks he deserves to remain in office. If you don’t want to hear it, talk to his best buddie Miss Lindsey Graham.
McCain - Feingold campaign contribution take over for democrats
McCain - Kennedy amnesty for illegal immigration take over for democrats
McCain - Lieberman precursor to greenies climate Cram n’ tax for democrats
RINO McCain’s life long legacy

Yes, and McCain was the only Senator not drummed out of office on an "illegal money for power" scam.
Wonder who McCain paid off (with his wife's money) to keep his seat.

My blinders are off. As I've said before, criticize McCain all you want. Just get your facts straight. As many have pointed out, there is lots to criticize, but the Keating scandal is not it. When discussing the matter on his radio show with Bob Bennett, the demoncrat lawyer hired by the Senate dems to try to nail McCain, Mark Levin said "John McCain is not an unethical man, can you, can we agree on that?" Bennett agreed.
Of course, I'm sure you will now inform me that Mark Levin a McCain lapdog. On your merry way.

OH please, lord McCain is more than ethically challenged in the purest sense of the word. Maybe not by the precedent set by the 'lawyerly' being charged under some law or statute. But I have seen first hand the harlotry of lord McCain claiming to be 'conservative' while out philandering and playing the political orgy with lying crooked liberals.
Lord McCain's take on who gets to have speech and who he decided could not challenges his ethic to the very core of his being.
