I have been following the details of Steorn's ongoing public launch here for a while now - and apparently there is still lots to be revealed between now and the rest of January. Many people are watching and waiting to see if more conclusive proof of Steorn's claims will be forthcoming.
The reason I have given Steorn and its technology so much time and attention is the revolutionary nature of what the company is claiming and the manner in which they are presenting it to the public. It appears they will be going to great lengths later this months to provide validation of their Orbo technology in a public forum. If Orbo truly does provide "free, clean and constant energy at the point of use", then Sean McCarthy is not exaggerating in saying that Steorn is offering a technology that could "change everything".

They're scammers.
Hang on for the march of the tin-foil hats on this one..:o)
Everyone who has been belly laughing at the new physics and zero point energy are going to have a rude awakening in the near future.
The people whose interest it is to keep using fossil fuels ultimately cannot kill everyone who is working on ZPE. We will in the not too distant future have unlimited zero cost energy that will power everything. Steorn is just one of many who are on the verge of huge breakthroughs in this field. Most are staying real silent literally out of fear of being killed. ZPE will upset the whole power structure in the world. It is the next BIG thing..and it will be Earth changing.
“They’re scammers”
Don’t think so. They appear to have it working, obviously only time will tell but they had their device running on a live webcam for quite a while before the holidays..and restart this month.
Does anyone have ANY idea where this ‘free’ energy is coming from? Geothermal, solar, nuclear, wind, tides, moonlight or ????
These guys remind me of the Nigerian who was going to produce Bammy’s “real birth certificate” any day now...
Pixie dust. I wonder if flash2368 was one who believed the hype for the Segway. It too was going to “change everything”.
“Appear” to have it working....without any independent confirmation or so much as a voltage meter pretending to confirm their claims.
Yet another energy source that claims to evade the Second Law of Thermodynamics ..
The fact that the word orbo (it was even green)was used in witch hunter robin as a nearly magical material is an interesting happenstance.
It was on a Intarwebcam, it must be true!!!!1!ONE
Other than ZPE being a lot a BS (it is a nanoscopic
energy, but so what?) why is there a “fear” of “being killed”?
They say that independent testing will be going on at the public demonstration. People will be able to bring their own testing equipment and test one of their devices.
I really do understad the skepticism here. What they are claiming is “impossible” and Steorn does have notable public failures. However, it looks like the current demonstration which lasts through the end of January is the culmination of lots of R&D work and is designed to give conclusive proof of their technology. Sure there will be lots of doubters, but I think it is worth watching.
Perhaps one day, we’ll look back at these times, when supposedly knowledgeable people actually believed CO2 was a pollutant and man was responsible for the heat buildup of the earth, and feel pride in having known them as the wingnuts they were.
Damn you laws of physics.......
Best thing to do if they can get something working is to get the information on how to do it spread out as far and as wide as possible.
No patents - they can be bought up and shelved. No trade secrets - that's a death sentence for sure, and the knowledge dies too. Yes, it minimizes the profitability of it, but that's better than the machine never seeing the light of day
But yes, in the end I'm a bit of a Doubting Thomas - I need to see this one to believe it.
Yep, Ben Franklin gave many of his inventions to the world freely.
If it didn't work, they'd look for investors.
It proves the PT Barnum effect. As well as the fool/money certainty principle.
Entropy isn’t just a suggestion.
