Could this actually be the greatest and potentially the deadliest of Obama’s screw ups so far?

I missed the implications of this up front and I bet you all did too, but I am hearing from members of the American intelligence community and some on the outside closely connected to those on the inside who are raising a huge red flag right now.

It appears Barack Obama inexperience and amateurishness has just started bonfires on the bridges connecting him to the American intelligence community and delivered a huge, HUGE psychological win to Al Qaeda.

People tell me the President’s rush to acknowledge the attack on the CIA in Afghanistan and mourn the deaths openly, publicly, and via press release is a huge no no. The CIA and greater intelligence community would prefer not to have the attention put on them. Additionally, because the President took the time to draft a blanket statement focused on the CIA in general instead of individually and more privately focusing on the families of the victims, it acknowledges the CIA’s work in Afghanistan, acknowledges that the attack has an impact on the CIA, and gives the terrorists a new recruiting tool — “you too can cause America to publicly mourn the loss of their spies.”

To you and me this may not seem like a big deal. But I’m told this is hugely significant and shows just how out of touch the Obama administration is with the intelligence community. I’m told that no other President has issued such blanket statements of public mourning directed toward an attack on the CIA and thereby having the White House itself confirming an attack on our intelligence community.

The intelligence community is licking its wounds right now and Obama’s rush to confirm for the world that the community suffered such wounds has the intelligence community simmering tonight and Al Qaeda preparing a PR blitz with what they view as good news.

UPDATED: Take the information above and couple it with this. The White House is subtly blaming the intelligence community for the failure to deduce the Delta/Northwest attack.

Why?

Because the President is worried about being blamed, the White House is trying to blame the CIA while at the same time undermining the CIA through a rush to publicize the Afghan attack.

Either this White House is willfully trying to sabotage the intelligence community or they are rank amateurs. I pray to God in Heaven it is the latter.

"NO ONE is asking anything about the State Department. Doesn’t that seem a little bizarre to you?"

Drat, this crap comes at us so often and from so many directions it is easy to get off game. I read something the other day where that very question was asked. I read a lot, I hope they're valid articles, so I forget where and what. Anyway, the writer pointed your very question out and tied it to the head of the State Department who is......Hitlery Rodman Clinton. The father of the Christmas Day panty bomber went to or contacted the US embassy in Nigeria weeks ahead of the event. The US embassy reports to......

She might not be expected to know every event, but you can bet that someone with their eye on the ball would have directions out to embassy officials to prioritize the information on this type of stuff to them. Clueless Condi would have been skewered by now by the sycophantic media.

My prayer is that Obama will tick off the CIA to the point that the CIA finds a way to prove Obama is not a natural born citizen.

My, my...it's such a shame that we had so many successful terrorist attacks under Bush.
What you say?! They were thwarted? Well, pardon me! /heavy sarcasm

The far left hates the CIA and will seize any opportunity to undermine them. It’s no surprise they aren’t playing well together.

If you mean “insane” as in a far left-wing loon I concur. Otherwise, he’s been brilliant in finding a mix of the most ardent socialist/marxist/communist citizens of the USA and appoint them to positions of power in his administration in order to “fundamentally transform America”.

That's why the people are called "Spooks". We do a great job of giving the enemy good damage assessment reports following their attacks.

Yup I knew it when I saw it. The One justis amazing -—— if he isn’t purposely destroying this country then what else could he do to accomplish that goal?

Not too long ago the Leftwingtards were up in arms about the way Valerie Plame and Mary McCarthy had been treated by the administration of President Bush.

Now they've decided, once again, that the CIA people are the problem.

I do believe the return of the Ice Age is affecting their brains.

The CIA a victim of Obama? That is funny. He is their man. They helped the Left engineer the Bush Derangement Syndrome from the 911 hearings onward. They know the background dear leader is hiding from the American people.
The CIA is no victim although some unfortunate employees are the political victims of their bosses - being tossed under Obama’s bus for the advancement of Leftist global ideology.

Like the Liberals in both parties, the CIA is unglued from loyalty to the American people, the Ameircan Nation and our constitution. We are the victims of an extreme internationalist CIA which has “progressed” beyond that national sovergnity and freedom nonsense. It does not matter who we elect; the CIA is leftist.

I wondered about the very public announcement of CIA operatives being KIA. Normally that never happens and it was surprising to read Obama’s letter to the families and his discussing it openly.

I wonder if he honestly didn’t KNOW this is never done- and he doesn’t have anyone around him who knows better either- or- if he damn well knew and did it anyway for his own reasons.

Either this White House is (1) willfully trying to sabotage the intelligence community,or, (2) they are rank amateurs. ............. All signs point to the former. The latter might apply were it not for (a) Obama's prosecution of the CIA agents, (b) the pesky leaked facts emerging from the failed Christmas Day terrorist attack, and, (c) Obama's constant playing of the blame game.

Keep in mind, we are dealing with Major Scum occupying the highest offices in the land.

As FReeper oaf of office insightfully posted: "Obama is going to have so many military killed by his own actions, paying the Taliban (and bribing corrupt Mideast dictators), that the public will be outraged, and will insist the war be ended. Then Obama will say he is 'forced' to end the war, and it is not his fault."

.....anything and everything Obama does is a strategic move to increase his power over the people through the executive branch.....

The phrase "to gain executive branch authority" was first heard 70 years ago, or so.....part of a package called "The Enabling Acts," although it was written in German. The Enabling Acts granted "the executive" the authority to write new laws and change old laws without oversight.

.....Obama would and could create his own personal security and intelligence agency.....

Oh, that. Don't worry about it. Ohaha and the WH gang are ready for that. They are putting up a $20 million web site to teach Americans how to do the goose step (/sarc).

Barry and his cabal of advisors better (IMHO) tread lightly. The last POTUS who tried pulling this on the CIA was ....(drum roll) .... JFK!

And we all know how that worked out (1).
(The CIA never was "dismantled brick-by-brick", was it.)

(1) I think it was pretty well proven during Dubya's eight years that there are *rogue agents* in 'the company'. And they think of it first, and any POTUS as a Temporary Boss.
