As I noted previously, Kurt Haskell - a passenger who was on board Northwest Airline flight 253 on Friday - claims that after the flight had landed, a bomb-sniffing dog was sent in to check the bags, and that something was detected in a passengers carry-on bag.
Mr. Haskell retold the story to Fox News anchor, Gregg Jarret on Monday. The following is an excerpt from the interview:
JARRETT: Fast forward... The plane lands safely, although, obviously, given the terror attack or the attempted terror attack, a great deal of commotion. And then you see someone else being arrested other then Mutallab?VIDEOHASKELL: I wouldn't use the word arrested. What I saw was, bomb sniffing dogs were brought in. One of the [security personnel] made a reaction to one of the carry-on bags of a different Indian gentleman, who I would say was around age thirty. They immediately escorted him to an interrogation room where he was held for about an hour. At which point he came out with handcuffs and was taken away. Subsequent comments made by the FBI alarmed me a little more. They immediately moved us to a different room and said: "The room you're in now is not safe. Read between the lines. I'm sure you're smart people and can figure out why you're being moved." Now, to me that says one thing, 'there was a bomb'. But, you know, I don't have any verification of that specifically....
Apparently, the Obama administration is in full damage control mode and is not telling us the complete story.
The question, to me, is why he didn’t simply detonate his bomb on board the plane. Either he lost his nerve, or this was some kind of test run. Considering that others have claimed that there was a third person filming, that suggests some kind of weird dry run.
I don’t get the constant reference to an Indian.
Supposedly an Indian escorted the would be killer thru security.
How is it proven that the two men were Indian?
In the interview that I saw on Fox News, the passenger used the term “middle eastern” to describe the passenger who was led away in handcuffs. He also stated that the other passengers were led away from the luggage area because of “safety concerns.”
I find it odd that no one else is talking about this - not other passengers, not airline officials and no government officials. I wonder how accurate this passenger’s comments are. I’m not saying he is being untruthful, but at first glance he does not pass the sniff test.
Well, this Haskell sounds like a fairly credible witness. He is an attorney and is not making really salacious revelations or jumping to conclusions.
I do not know what this man thinks of as “an Indian.” I would guess that he means someone who looks like they might be from India. This certainly could include an Indonesian or other from the general area. In Holland there are a lot of Indonesians. So one brought this “refugee” to the gate in Holland (which seems weird if he was already on the earlier flight from Africa), and a separate “Indian-looking man” was searched and found to be carrying something dangerous in Michigan.
It’s a shame that Americans are not trusted with the truth about this. After all, it is our lives at stake on these flights without having all the facts.
I just watched the video. This is a different man than the one I saw tonight on Fox. The man on the video seems much more believable and we now have two witnesses who are saying essentially the same thing.
“How is it proven that the two men were Indian?”
Easy, ask them a “yes or no” question. If the are Indian, they’ll say “yes” and “no” and bobble their head ambiguously.
To confirm, they’ll smell like curry.
It surely isn’t that we can’t be trusted with the truth.
It’s that this administration is incapable of telling the truth.
About anything.
And the story about the middle eastern man being taken off that same flight the next day has disappeared from the news.
Same for the story about two middle eastern men being removed from a flight to Phoenix is also among the ‘disappeared’ stories.
A passenger on a flight to LaGuardia Airport this past Sunday night was found to have ‘accidentally’ dropped a large ‘firecracker’ from his luggage that he ‘didn’t even know he had’.
muslims consider dogs unclean - they would be ‘offended’. Now, myself, I’d recommend 2 dogs per int’l flight. minimum. I like dogs.
“Are we so afraid of offending muslims that we are willing to sacrifice the lives of Americans???”
Yes, our government is.
Exposure BTTT
BRAVO!
What an EXCELLENT suggestion. I'm all for it.
Another options is to have the dogs do a walk through when all the passengers are seated before take off.
If muslims are offended by dogs... then don't fly or get your own separate plane!
SOP Remember when the building went up in Oklahoma City (?) There were witness’s that saw a 3rd man with McVeigh, that looked middle eastern....he disappeared and the witness’s were shut down...At the time I smelled cover-up and never saw the death penalty carried out so fast in my life....just thought it strange....
...and not a frigging thing will be done. It amazes me that FoxNews dose this earth shattering news story and then you watch, the story will drop.
‘Zactly, couldn’t agree with you more.
Oldenuff...
I have long wondered why each village is not beefed up with a very good and active k9 unit. Columbine and Virginia Tech incidents would be so far better handled if an aggressive k9 unit were unleashed to bring down the perpetrators.
Dogs should be deployed, as you suggested, at every airport. I would sure feel safer!
The nimwits who make me take off my shoes are no match for a well trained schutzhund.
