Gov Palin interview with Greta Van Susteren was probably one of her best interviews, in that interview Van Susteren asked Palin about resignation, quitting, ethic violations and the prospect of dealing with attacks in future political positions. This is to all of those hacks, the misinformed and the haters that hide their true intentions against Gov. Palin, and you know who I'm talking about.......here are excerpts.
PALIN: Because it was the best thing for the state of Alaska to be able to progress the conservative agenda up there without the distraction that the new normal in Alaskan politics had become where every time I turned around, there was a lawsuit or frivolous ethics violation charge.
And that was prohibiting my administration from doing the work for the people. It was costing the state millions of dollars, thousands of staff hours to fight these frivolous, adversarial, opposition-researcher efforts that were thrown at my administration while I was there.
And I was not going to run again for governor, so instead of hunkering down, quitting, basically, as a governor by sitting behind my desk and not doing anything, not speaking out for fear of having another ethics violation charge, I said no. They're not going to win and we're going to get out there and fight harder for Alaskans, fight harder for Americans by handing the reins over to our lieutenant governor for my last year in office. He'll progress the agenda. I will get out there and fight even harder."
NOTE: Alaska's ethic laws at the time don't protect their governor from personal bankruptcy defending frivolous suits, it was by this loophole where the attackers attacked, filing away one charge after another. Also it does not protect staff members from made up violation charges either and paying out of pocket expenses ( if you read Going Rogue, her administration staff was slowed down from their work because of FOIA paperwork constantly being requested). By law Palin nor staff had no real recourse to take action against the attackers. She stated above about opposition research which means dems and obama administration hacks and lawyers.
No it hasn’t change......it should say at this time, my fault
Good. I’m glad. I pray she learns as MUCH as possible about the way the Chicago thugs run and that she foresees every single possible way they may seek to undermine her and/or the electoral process should she run. I pray she picks only a select few, proven trustworthy people to be in her inner circle of advisors and friends. I am sure the Chicago thugs are just as carefully monitoring what she does as well.
Woah! “The Thumping” by Emanuel. Rahm Emanuel? He has a book? I did not know that.
Where is the link?
Yeah how can we prevent something like that from happening? They have the media on their side! They’re not accountable to anything. They’re able to get away with everything, just look at this healthcare monstrosity and the warped process they were able to pull off!
Didn’t Obi-Wan say: You can’t win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine.!!!!!!!
Sarah became more powerful by the stupid acts of Rahm, Obama, Alexrod and the Dems in Congress!!!
Many of the Palin bashing are still waiting for their dream candidate, hope they arn’t holding their breath.
We know who the candidate should be and not sitting back
while some of the wannaBees are trying to get face time.
THEN WHY in God's name aren't the Republicans doing exactly the same thing to the scumbags??
Oh that's right... the Republicans are the party of cowards.
"Thank you sir, may I have another?"
Sarah is a threat to the evildoers.
Lots of grassroots activism and lots of efficient, effective paid advertising.
who oversees the people who do the actual vote counting?
I watched (and TIVO’d) Greta’s interview because I knew at the time it was the best interview of all. Greta truly likes Sarah. In fact, Great’s husband, John Coale went to work for McCain/Palin after he left Hillary’s campaign and that was a huge move on his part because he *was* a democrat.
It probably varies from state to state, but it is always done at the local level. There are also supposed to be "poll watchers" at the polls challenging questionable voters. They also see who hasn't voted and do what they can to get their voters to the polls.
I know recounts have partisan representatives present.
The demos had the media on their side against Reagan. He was able to work around the media. He was a populist, and the common people related to him. Sarah is capable of doing the same thing. Romney is a politician. He doesn’t really have a center - stick that finger into the wind, see which position to take. He’s stuck on health care. What’s he going to do, admit his Romneycare sucks, when it’s obvious to all that it does? It will kill him in the next election.
I bet Rahm/Obama machine will assign ACORN-type people will be on the job infiltrating all the local polling places.
You need to be a precinct worker so you can be one of the vote counters.
Also, there’s a great deal of concern about the voting machines. Namely concerns about rigging the machines so that the majority will register votes for democrats regardless of the actual votes.
Voting machines must have paper receipts. Those receipts will be necessary if fraud charges arise.
I wonder where are those guys that were attacking Palin earlier today? They never boldly step up to the plate when challenged? Hmmmmm!!
It’s Christmas Eve! I’m sure they’re in Church!
For a good insight into how Sarah governed buy the book titled “Sarah takes on Big Oil”
Much can be learned in an unbiased way.
