The Left, since the release of Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue, and its million plus sales in a matter of weeks, have been wandering the streets in a benighted stupor, tugging at their unkempt hair, and shrieking at whomever will listen with their question of "why"? "Why is she popular, why is she on television, why is she on magazine covers, why, why, why?" "This is Sarah Palin, not Barack Obama, why?"

One word - contrast.
Normal vs. immoral.
Is is a rare combination on the national stage and it scares the bejeezus out of the Left.
Maybe because they keep bringing her up? Self defeating attitudes are hard to beat.
SIMPLE QUESTION, MY FRIEND.
SARAH PALIN IS THE LEADER OF THE FREE PEOPLE OF AMERICA.
That’s as far as my “COMMUNITY” IN INDIANA truly truly truly BELIEVE.
HOOSIERS TAKE SARAH PALIN AS ONE OF OUR “OWN”.
Our enemy? Barack DeathCare Obama.
Why? Because they’re DEATHLY afraid of her, that’s why?
Why are they afraid of her? Because she represents THE PEOPLE, that’s why?
Not the fringe left, not the media, not the Hollywood elite...
WE, THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...!
Hell, if I were them, I’d be afraid of her, too.
It’s a mixed phenomenon.
Because Palin coverage yields readers/eyeballs, there’s lots of Palin coverage. Because she’s anathema to so much of the press, they are snarky and unfair in the process.
As a result, there’s just more interest in any coverage of her—from both fans and detractors.
And so the cycle continues.
Because if you have her on your cover, you sell magazines.
If you have her on your show, you get record breaking ratings.
If you mention her in your article, you get lots of interweb hits.
She gets media attention because PEOPLE are interested in her.
Let us not put the cart before the horse.
She is the conservative boogie man to all the liberal dreams.
Why are they afraid of her? Because she represents THE PEOPLE, thats why?
Their deathly fear of Sarah Palin is because she represents the red dot on the forehead of the Socialist/Communist movement!!
I will give you 10 reasons why Sarah Palin gets the attention she does, some that are reasonable and some that are more fanciful or esoteric:
1)Palin is a woman. No woman has ever been a Presidential nominee for a major party. Thus she is a curiosity. In addition no first-time losing VP candidate has ever gone on to win the GOP nomination for POTUS in the next election cycle, let alone become President the next time around.
2)Palin is at minimum at major player or strong candidate to win the GOP nomination. Countless number of polls show this and you don’t have to be a Palin supporter to see this. It doesn’t mean she will win the nomination but she is definitely in the game.
3)Palin’s ability to draw huge ratings when interviewed on television. Palin isn’t paying these people to watch her on Oprah and Bill O’Reilly. Watching TV is a voluntary act.
4)Palin is somewhat of an oddity based on where she is from (Alaska) and a self-described hockey mom. Some folks think this is worthy of delving into and exploring. Personally I couldn’t care less.
5)Palin’s ability to get under Obama’s skin with pointed attacks. If other Republicans could muster up the gumption and ability to do so Palin would not receive as much attention but till now Palin and perhaps Michele Bachmann are the only ones perceived by conservatives of really taking the fight to the enemy and speaking for them.
6)Sarah is a good looking woman. Poll after poll shows that beautiful people succeed far more often than ugly people and get more attention from others. Life isn’t fair, but it is what it is.
7)Palin stimulates conversation and debate on MSNBC, CNN, FOX and the 3 networks and with that comes higher ratings; if there was a steady diet of Huckabee or Romney would the ratings be comparable? I think not.
8)Many things that Sarah Palin say are deemed controversial by the MSM and anybody who is controversial or a subject of controversy always gets their face in front of a prying camera lens or the paparrazi.
9)There was a concerted effort in the 2008 campaign from the get-go (August 29th) by the MSM on behalf of Obama to smear, ridicule, demean and misrepresent Palin; and this continued even after the election. The MSM had every opportunity to ignore Palin but I believe under orders from Obama and his war room, it continued to berate her in an effort to destroy her political ambitions forever. Thus Palin stayed in the news even before her resignation on July 3rd, while virtually every past losing VP candidate had gone back into the woodwork and disappeared from public eye and press coverage.
10)Palin is a political rock star and anybody that follows sports knows these folks always get more attention, press coverage and articles written about them or the buzz from the pundits. And if you deny that Palin is a superstar, then simply you are not a sports aficionado. I am and I know a superstar when I see one.
