The tea party is a resurrection of the original Abe Lincoln ‘freedom and liberty’ republican party. If the current Republicans want to join us, they can.

TEApublicans to win big in NOVEMBER!

Bill O’Reilly is a founding father of the Tea Party like Algore invented the internet.
This is a joke, right?

A Tea PARTY is exactly what the Marxist, including B.O.,
would love to see. Split the conservative vote down the middle and assure victory for the Commies.
++++++++++++++++++

Merge the passion of the Tea Partiers, with the practical political considerations of being on every ballot. Force the Republican party to the American people, to Conservatives. The TEApublicans.

The Republican party is still a large repository of Conservative thought and power. Demint, Palin, Wilson, Bachmann, Pence, Duncan Hunter, Rubio, Pat Toomey...TEApublican movement for success in 11/2010.

“In the history of the United States, not a single third party has come close to winning the presidency, only 7 3rd parties have even won a single state’s electoral votes and only 5 third parties have won even 10% of the vote.”

Nice to see him get on board even if it is late.

Do you think BOR understands/supports the goals of the Tea Partiers enough to get on board?

Then the GOP better wise up.

Do you think there are any good Conservatives in the GOP? I think we need to consider these people in our discussions:

If you vote or donate to the GOP in its current state, all you are doing is reinforcing and rewarding its moves to the left.

Do you support Rubio and Toomey and Palin? If not, why not? They all have Rs after their names...

As to Palin, she has “Republican” under her party listing on Facebook. Clear as day. Do you think Sarah Palin is rewarding the GOP and moving it left?

Th Tea Party is not as stupid as you think they are.
For an example of how the Tea Party can get the right, conservative congressmen into congress, you need look no further than the Florida US Senate Republican primaries, where the Tea Party has strongly thrown it's weight behind Rubio, and sent his poll numbers neck and neck with Charlie Christ, and wyh the momentum on his side, is poised to clobber Crist in the Republican Primaries.

“The Boom Heard Across Florida: Rubio Pulls Even with Crist”
http://newledger.com/2009/12/the-boom-heard-across-florida-rubio-pulls-even-with-crist/

That's how it's going to work. The Tea Parties are going to facilitate conservative candidates in the Republican primaries, where the Republican candidate is a RINO sell out like Charlie Christ is, BEFORE the general elections.

Do they run the party? No, they don't. Notice Palin is giving the keynote speech at a Tea Party convention. Notice that she's still taking jabs at one of the party elders, Juan McAmnesty. Notice that she announced earlier this year that she was supporting conservatives, regardless of party affiliation, which she has done.

I don't really care for a lot of things about Palin, especially since she's supporting Rick Perry, but she's one of the few nationally-known Republicans who has taken steps to align herself with Conservatives instead of Republicans.

We shouldn't, who said we should?

Supporting the GOP as a whole is doing so. There are some freepers who think we must support the GOP no matter what.

You've indicated however that you only support individuals and not the party, which is the wise thing to do, and one I agree with. If a Republican wants to earn my vote, they better be the most conservative candidate on the ballot.

First, let me state this in no uncertain terms...

PUKE!

BOR is a Freeper hating ASS! He called us racists and could not produce evidence when confronted.

BOR is more ego than man.

No 3rd party - any suggestion is suicide. BOR is the fungus that causes blisters between your toes.

Joe, and the many others that replied.
I guess I did not make my original reply clear enough.
I am ALL in favor of the Tea movement,. but NOT as a third party in national elections.
YES, the Teas have to work on the primary level and oust the RINOS.
To run in the national election, however, as a third party
would be suicide.
We still have a country that is still 45 % yellow dog idiots, morons, and Communist.
That figure would have to drop into the 20s for a third party to be successful.

Say af_vet, I responded to *your* comments about voting or donating “to the GOP in its current state”. Those that I mentioned that have Rs after their name, surely are doing BOTH. So to be consistent, you need to call out Palin, Rubio, Toomey, et al, as rewarding the GOP’s moves to the left. That’s what *you* said.

I agree that Palin is using her influence to pull the R party back to its Conservative base, and has mentioned that she will support Conservatives no matter party affiliation...can’t think of too many Conservative RATS, so she must mean Hoffman, et al, and I agree with that strategy.

I simply disagree with the generalization of your statement about giving and voting for the GOP and think that Palin, et al, disprove your comment.

Which statement is closer to your thinking, the first one, or the second one? I disagree with your fist statement, I agree with your second statement - we should not support the GOP, no matter what, but there are many, many good Conservative Republicans we SHOULD support!

Palin, Rubio, Toomey don't run the party. In fact, none of them even hold a significant elected office, and I'm not even sure if they hold any elected office at the current time. They are not a part or cause of the "current state" of the GOP. You could argue they are a result of the current state, since they represent voter dissatisfaction with the current state of the GOP.

Palin is working to ensure that a potential third party competitor will gain traction by giving the keynote at their convention. If she was completely committed to the GOP, she would not be giving that keynote. No matter what you may think of her intelligence, she knows full well how important her speech at the convention in February is going to be.

If she was 100% committed to the GOP, she wouldn't be working to help a group get off the ground that is looking to pick up Republicans who are sick and tired of the GOP.
