There are very few brave politicians in the world. Most of them mince their words and tell you what they think you want to hear. Brave politicians are ones who speak their mind. They tell you exactly how they feel, consequences be damned. Iowa 5th District Congressman Steve King is among that rare breed.

I think the article -is of the opinion- that the GOP are silent on issues while Bachmann,Palin,King, and some others speak out.
If the GOP want to McCain again in MODERACY and political correctness they can go play elsewhere and lose.
Steve King is a dynamo, and one of the few brave souls willing to stand up and stick their necks out. Even Rush Limbaugh highlighted Steve on his show recently - that’s how impressive he is.
We need more leaders like him.
Precisely. If we would stop this ridiculous infighting among eachother, we could get our act together and come November 2010 Nazi Pelousy will no longer be Speaker of the House.
It is front page newsworthy.
It seems like it may be newsworthy whether you like it or not.
Alaska, Iowa, Minnesota? I thought we were supposed to be a Southern Regional Party? That’s what the libs at Politico say, and that must be true, right?
I always suspected that if Obama ever decided to finally come down with the Fairness Doctrine most elected Republicans were not going to be too unhappy about it
(2) With the likes of Graham, Alexander, and Snowe in the list, who can be surprised that eleven percent don't want to hear from Glenn Beck?
Not attacking you, FRiend, I just think the headline and column in the Examiner are totally out of line with the actual survey.

Agreed. But this is not early primaries in argument. This is discussing what direction the GOP is going. Remember the fatcats of the GOP are wishy washy moderates it doesn’t matter what STEEL says they rule the pocket book.
I hope your talking about Peter King, Rep of Long Island, and not Steve King, rep of Iowa.
Peter King, rep of Long Island not to be confused with Peter King, dumb dumb of Sports Illustrated.
I have never been a 3rd party advocate...and will lend my efforts to one more attempt to purge this party of RINOs.
However, should we not be successful I will vote 3rd party from that point forward. Forever.
And I've been a member of the party since 1974.
Oh the GOP is SILENT now. The impression I got from the title of the article was that GOP leaders were attempting to MUZZLE individuals such as Glenn Beck and Michele Bachmann.
I watch Glenn Beck’s program almost every night. Knowing him, if someone was trying to silence his voice, he would have something to say about that!
Didn’t some poll last week say that Teaparty beat the GOP?
Just clarifying.
A major effort now with Palin as leader would make the Conservative Party number 2. The repubs would evaporate or be relegated to a minor 3rd party.
I'm with you. I can't wait for rightwingextremist1776 to respond.
I agree. THE GOP better step up to the plate is all I am saying so all can come together or they will be left in the dust.
What an idiotic poll to begin with! If we have ANY chance of taking back the Congress from Democrat control next year, we must ALL work together, the GOP with the Tea Party movement as well as the Townhallers and every other conservative grassroots organization. The art of successful politics is the art of successfull coalition building. Petty and stupid infighting among ourselves will guarantee another two years of Pelousy and Reid running the Congress.
The same ilk in the GOP despised and wanted Ron Reagan to shut up also......we see how that turned out....
The blue blood rich elite east coast type GOP is as big as a problem as the democrats
for example with the health care bill-—they really dont want to kill it.....they are just trying to “improve it”
I may scream at my TV or radio and say someone doesn't know what they are talking about. Think about it though. Would you want Obama, Pelosi, Reed, Schumer, Durbin, Kerry, etc to shut up so you wouldn't know where they are coming from? Know thy enemy so you can defeat them. Let them create their preposterous sound bites that can be used against them the next election.
In the case of liberals the old saying, "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" doesn't really apply. Keep speaking up Libs so we can see what makes you tick.
Third parties are going no where. They have been tried many times before and never work. BHO’s army of Left wing activists did not work outside the Democrat Party. They worked WITHIN it. That’s how they won. Get a clue.
Even Congressman Ron Paul, the de facto leader of the libertarian movement here in the US understands the complete and total futility of third parties which is why he remains in the Republican Party. Same goes for his son, Rand, who is running for the US Senate in KY as a REPUBLICAN.
