The huge crowds at Sarah Palin's book signings were to be expected, and the governor's publisher, HarperCollins, is celebrating. Her book sold 300,000 copies the first day. Total in print is now 2.5 million. That's huge and testimony to Sarah Palin's star power.

Likewise, the rise of Fox News commentator Glenn Beck, who drew 25,000 folks at The Villages in Florida over the weekend, according to the local paper there. Beck is promoting his book and encouraging conservative and independent Americans to take back power from the liberal Obama administration.

Normal people are awakening, but we haven’t taken back the country yet. There will be a lot of big hurdles.
First, any normal person who is a serious contender for the presidency will be attacked as never before by the entire left. Second, White guilt is not dead.

Don’t get too excited. Bush was good for the country but bad for the party. A few thousand CONSERVATIVE votes in Virginia, Missouri, or Montana would have saved us the senate. It starts at the top with inspired leadership but at some point WE have to carry the day and I didn’t see it happening in places where it could-and should.
