Apparently US presidents of the past 200 years have not KNOWN the correct protocol. I don’t recall Reagan, Bush, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, etc etc BOWING to the King of Saudi Arabia or the pres of Japan! Maybe I just missed it!!!!

The S0B was apologizing for our resistance in WWII.

After all, in his world the Japanese were only reacting against their victimization by the Evil Americans.

Dude's a Traitor. Like his Mommy.

So it is protocol to fail to salute our flag and bow to foreign leaders?

Protocol? That’s just plain ol’ Bull Puckey! It’s the anointed one placing the US into secondary nation status in front of the entire world, AGAIN.

This pantywaist libtard gasbag isn’t capable of properly representing the US on the world stage.

WRong.

Since when is it protocol for one head of state to bow like a subject before another head of state?

It doesn’t happen. They are equals. Bowing is done by a subordinate. And then only if you’re a subordinate in that particular culture.

A simple head nod/bow is like a handshake. Bowing low from the waist (as was shown) is obedience to a superior ...

US protocol has been that neither Presidents nor citizens bow to any foreign royalty. This is simply because we don’t accept the concept.

But since Obama’s not an American, we have to give him a break, because he probably wouldn’t know.

Also, this was over the top and embarrassing in the extreme, even to the Japanese, if only because the person who makes a deep bow like that is basically saying that he’s probably the guy who parks your car and is not on the same level with you at all. Who advised him on this? Did you notice them laughing? That’s because the Japanese laugh or smile when they’re embarrassed.

Obama was observing protocol - What was he observing when they were playing the National Anthem and others had their hands over their hearts and he was busy playing with his di**?

What a phony evil POS.

UPDATED: Obama bows again -- how will White House explain?

There is, in fact, no protocol calling for an American president to bow to the emperor of Japan, or anyone else, for that matter.

No, there is no such protocol for an American; Americans do not bow or pay tribute to anyone period, especially a President. This is just one feature of being an American; we do not bow to Kings, Dictators or other political class members. Obama is more than a clown, past citizens would disposed of this human debris as what he is in not representing America and its Constitution; for he is un-American and represents foreign interests.

That Japanese protocol does not apply to a foreigner, much less a foreign head of state.

The current administration has shown to the world, yet again that, it is “not ready for prime-time”.
