Besides addressing her views on the McCain campaign and the media, Palin, a passionate Alaskan hunter, takes aim at vegetarians. Palin states, If any vegans came over for dinner, I could whip them up a salad, then explain my philosophy on being a carnivore: If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?

> God did not intend for any to die..God did allow meat to be eaten only after the Flood
C’mon, what Bible are you getting that theology from? Yes, in Eden, it was paradise, but after the fall, Cain and Abel were offering grain and flesh sacrifices, respectively, starting at generation #2. Abel’s sacrifice was unacceptable to God not because it was flesh, but because Abel held back the best animals for himself. So your point about post-flood eating of flesh is quite erroneous.
Abraham didn't have to kill his son - instead God allowed him to kill a lamb... so this idea goes waaaaaaaaay back.
It has always struck me as funny that God would change His mind about what man can eat. He’s God; why didn’t He just make some new plants? I mean, if He can part the Red Sea, He could cause peach trees to spring up out of nowhere, laden with fruit.
There they go again. You vegans are the superior but minority species. We "carnivore" masses are such primitive, low-minded creatures.
That cinches it, I’m having steak tonite.
Pray for America’s Freedom
Not only did she say it, she stole it from ted nuegent.
If this is true, it doesn’t speak well of Sarah’s manners as a hostess. If I were eating in a Korean household and politely informed the host that I do not eat St. Bernard, I would expect to have that respected and not used as a jumping-off point for a debate.
Over-intellectualizing leads to all manner of mistaken assumptions. Look at the entirety, Alpha to Omega, the first Adam and the second Adam, from Creation to the Fall and what sets His Creation right again. Pulling Genesis out and isolating it leaves way too much out of any understanding.
I'm sure there are those who will debate this, strenuously. But, read the Book, and what it actually says, not what some sect teaches. You'll very likely draw the same conclusion.
animals
God gave us teeth meant for cheeseburgers. It just took a little while to find out.
“the seared fatty edges of steak”... YES!
It’s a frigging joke. Lighten up.
So, are you saying people that eat dolphins, elephants, and monkeys are superior to those that only eat beef, chicken, and pork?
These people posting “tsk-tsk” replies cannot be conservatives. I refuse to believe there are conservatives out there that are really taking her remarks this seriously. She’s making light of it. She was attacked over being a hunter and eating meat, so she’s now making jokes about it. Really people, learn to laugh a little.
The person eating fish just eats higher IQ life...morally neutral.
I guess if all you ate was salt - you'd be eating “lifeless” - rocks... but again - I don't see that as inferior or superior - stupid in the case of “just salt” - as it would cause death... But life causes death - so on a grander scale ...
We have Palin hating trolls on Free Republic.
she can’t do anything right in their eyes
It’s amazing that some on Free Republic have become moonbats!!
It’s a joke, sillies and not meant to offend, Sarah has made similar comments before about meat and no one here were going crazy........in fact Sarah said that her family diet includes lots and lots of fruit and vegetables along with fish and the caribou as a source of protein
So there’s no difference between eating a chimp and eating a mushroom?
what about eating humans?
And yet God rejected Cain's offering of produce, but instead favored Abel's sacrificial lamb. Sounds like God likes meat too.
