Hey, don't be too hard on the AP. CNN is also into fact-checking... SNL skit's that are "mean" to Obama.
Here's some real fact-checking. Fasten your seat belts...
On Governor Palins 2006 Campaign Financing
AP FACTS: Of the roughly $1.3 million she raised for her primary and general election campaigns for governor, more than half came from people and political action committees giving at least $500, according to an AP analysis of her campaign finance reports. The maximum that individual donors could give was $1,000; $2,000 for a PAC.
Of the rest, about $76,000 came from Republican Party committees.
THE TRUTH: Had the AP looked more closely at those Republican Party contributions, it might have discovered that most of the money came from eight different Alaska Republican womens clubs in other words, grassroots donors. The Republican womens groups conduct year-round grassroots fundraising, from monthly luncheons to garage sales, and it was completely understandable that they would support a Republican woman gubernatorial candidate.
The Alaska Federation of Republican Women and seven different state womens clubs (in Ketchikan, Sitka, Juneau, Kenai, Mat-Su, Fairbanks, and two in Anchorage) contributed $44,500 total. The remainder of the APs quoted $76,000 was money returned to the party chairman, contributions from district Republican organizations, and $20,000 from in-kind contributions/support from the state party.
The Governors campaign filed 31 financial reports with the Alaska Public Office Commission all accurate and on time. Its telling that the AP has the time to pour through tens of thousands of individual transactions line by line in the various reports, but fails to note these facts.

Can Sarah Palin Make a Comeback?
Palins book itself proves a point
Associated Press lies about Palin...repeatedly. Excellent fact checking here of the lie spewing AP...lie, after lie, after lie, after lie, after lie, on and on.
That's 11 writers for a 695-word report. What on? Obamacare? The Iranian nuke program? The upcoming trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed?
No, the Associated Press assigned 11 writers to "fact-check" Sarah Palin's new book...
LOL!! The AP is a friggin' joke!
ping
I'd wait until something more credible comes along than "Conservatives for Palin".
Like MSNBC, DailyKOS or the AP?
You people crack me up. LOL.
Her next book title:
[They’re] Scared Shitless
Noob, you don't even know what you're talking about. C4P has been one of the absolute best sources for information about Sarah Palin and her Rat-induced tribulations, as well as the primary de-bunker of MSM lies and distortions about her and her record.
They actually practice some first class journalism at C4P, and are doing us all a major public service. So keep your cheap shots to yourself.
So you agree with the AP? If C4P are wrong, prove why.
I’ll bet it didn’t take 11 C4P editors to fact check the AP.
I suppose now the AP will appoint 22 people to fact check C4P.
This could get interesting.
Too bad the AP did not fact check the ghost-written books published in the name of Obama. No guts, no glory.
The AP is not a joke, they are serious trouble like other evils on this earth.
In the over two months I've made a habit of looking, there has never once been a Palin article-free page. And yet these same people are generally the ones who go ballistic whenever they see the lone positive article on Romney or Huckabee once in a blue moon.
Romneybot, friend of the Huckster, or Astroturf?
Nice try, though.
Cheers!
The GOP this and the GOP says that. The GOP will be just as shocked at her being chosen as our candidate by US as the left--well, a little less shocked, perhaps.
I truly believe this woman will BE the next President of the United States. I believe it just as I believed it when I called my brother the night of, I'm thinking it was October 4th, 2000 and said, "I'm going to shake the hand of the next President of the United States tomorrow." He said, "With YOU ---anything's possible." We had no tickets. The auditorium at West Chester University was packed. My husband had our video camera - we split up so he could get some footage. We BOTH ended up in an area no larger than the size of a large patio. He was able to give W a letter that asked for lower taxes, a military pay increase, and more support for small businesses. I ended up at the other side of this small area, and ..... I shook the hand of the next President of the United States.
She will shock everyone, except the mass quanitities of people the career politicians don't acknowledge and take avenues and directions far from the traditional paths. The road less traveled will be her route and the White House will be hers to fix. This job, at this time, will be overwhelming; but if ever there's a person in this world who can roll her sleeves up and "get 'er done," it is Sarah. All this HAD to happen to her, so that the good Lord could prove it to her, that she has what it takes. Ask W if the lessons He gave him prior to and during his presidency didn't help immensely during the truly difficult times.
She will do this. It is her time.
Thank you for all you will go through, in advance, Sarah....America really needs you.
Esteemed newbie Goldstandard is a Ron Paulist.
The mainstream media can’t die quickly enough for me at this point.
Excellent article.
But...
“Its telling that the AP has the time to pour through tens of thousands of individual transactions...”
(Ahem) That should be “PORE through tens of thousands”, not “POUR.”
Bump for later.
