Hoffman Didn’t Lose NY-23 Race After All?

That headline may be premature, but it was even MORE premature to swear in Owens last Friday before all the votes were counted!

Democrats didn't waste any time swearing in Bill Owens to take a seat in Congress representing the 23rd Congressional District of New York. While the Conservative candidate Doug Hoffman had conceded the race on election night when it looked like he was down by over 5,000 votes, all the ballots had yet to be counted and a string of reporting errors underreported Hoffman's totals by thousands of votes.

The official vote count is now so close that the actual winner will be decided by the 10,200 absentee ballots which were distributed. With ACORN and SEIU paid agents working on behalf of Owens that means it's likely the absentee ballots will favor Owens as fraud with these ballots is a specialty of Democrats.

he hasn’t won either. Still up in the air until absentee ballots are counted, assuming they are counted correctly.

I think the days of normal non-questionable elections are over for America.

Bella Pelosi couldn't care less.If forced to do so she'll take this to the courts....which would take years to settle. And during any court battle the RAT will be allowed to serve...and vote. And he'll run as the incumbent next year.

In less than 72 hours after the polls closed, Owens was shuffled down to DC, onto the floor of the house and sworn in by Pelosi.

It reminds me of a football team rushing to the line and trying to get a snap off before the opposing coach can challenge the last play.

Not so fast. A lot of these ballots were military absentee ballots according the Syracuse paper.

I find the old lady, NAnZI Pelosi, to be the personification of the liberal sissified limp wristed left. Tis fitting she is stretched and bOObed up like a tart and prances in spike high heels like a transvestite on a hot date.

actually, I was there this past spring. I have a son and a daughter in San Jose. I specifically requested we NOT visit the Castro district, though.

They won’t be counted. Dems go to court citing the concession.

I don’t think so. I think in a case like this, like with the Presidential elections of 2000, it would move very quickly through the system precisely because of the reasons you state...Pelosi and her cohorts notwithstanding.

It’s been hard to find accurate totals in this race. I know that each county is responsible for their processes but you’d think that the State Elections Board would have some info regarding this race in summary form.

The almost 11,000 absentee ballots were distributed but he question remains how many were returned? I’ve read numbers approaching 6,000 a few days ago. With 6,000 returned ballots and a 3,000 vote lead by Owens then Hoffman will have to get a high percentage of the absentee ballots in order to win. Maybe as high as 4 to 1 or slightly above that.

Does this mean that the RNC doesn't have lawyers & people watching?

Seriously, can the election be challenged if Hoffman conceded? New York did not certify the election, but Owens was installed anyway. Where does that leave the validity of the election? One thing for sure, if you are a conservative do not concede any race for at least 3 days.
