Gov. Palin in WI: Don't let anyone tell you to sit down and shut up!

First of all, let me start with how Governor Palin looked tonight. We all know that she is a beautiful woman, but that does not come close to describing how she looked. She was stunningly beautiful tonight. Maybe better than I have ever seen her look when I have seen her in person.

She had on a 2 piece pink business suit on. Not really pink, but a fuchsia, close to a red color. Very tan and nowhere near as thin as she was immediately after her resignation. To me, that was a little too thin.

The Governor wore her hair down, with the sides pulled back. Her hair has grown quite long over the last year. It looked fantastic.

As far as the numbers geeks are concerned, there were probably around 5,000 people there. The speech lasted about 35 to 40 minutes.

Most importantly, her smile was back bigger and brighter than any have seen in a while. To me, the most striking part of her appearance was her eyes. She has the glimmer back and her eyes were dancing around the room. She looks healthy, happy and full of life.

As she stepped to the microphone when the cheering began to die down, the Governor’s first thoughts were on America’s military forces. After asking all of our current military and veterans to stand, she asked for a moment of silence. She told us that during the moment of silence she would be saying a prayer and invited us all to do the same. After the moment of silence for the soldiers currently serving at Fort Hood, she immediately thanked our military personnel for their service to a raucous round of applause and cheers for our military.

When you have nothing useful to add to a thread, it is perfectly permissible to simply not post anything rather feel compelled to post utterly unwarranted criticism.

No photos or video unless the governor’s people brought their own. Wisconsin Right to Life strictly prohibited cell phones, cameras and any other recording media. I’m sure there will be plenty of other opportunities to see her give the same message during the next several years.

Can't that be made into a rule?

A GREAT video op-ed by PJTV's Bill Whittle a few weeks after Sarah resigned. But most of his comments deal with RINOs and the radical communists now controlling the 'rat party now guided by the Alinsky communists.

Beginning at the 7:30 mark, a clear message to real Americans. The last 3 minutes are spot-on with his warning to begin fighting dirty or else face total destruction & defeat.

The Media, The Left and GOP Elitists vs. Sarah Palin: A Lesson on How to Destroy a Leader

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to view and take to heart before it's too late.

FTA, Sarah said “Abortion is not healthcare!”
That’s worthy of becoming a battle cry.

As an aside:

While I appreciated the author’s look into the event that I could not attend, even though it was an hour from here, I also cringed a bit at the author’s detailed decription of her appearance, right down to her hairstyle.

We gals are more than what we wear, or how we do our hair. I know the author realized this, but in his enthusiasm he overstated appearances and should have been a bit less immature about his zeal for the outward beauty of Sarah. It’s her inner beauty that counts.

Sarah’s just as at home in fishing gear or her Carhartt Jacket as she is in that pink suit from last night. If she’s like most of us real women, she probably prefers jeans and a t-shirt to that suit.

GO Sarah GO! Talk with Michelle Bachmann and become the unbeatable team for 2012!

I agree about the attention to her looks and appearance. To my mind, it seems a bit condescending. I support Sarah Palin for her stand on the issues and her ability to connect her message to the average citizen.

I think it is great that Todd Palin is willing to share his bride with us. We should admire Sarah for being a leader and leave the ogling to her husband.

I’m talking about people on this thread fawning about her looks, not the substance of Sarah’s remarks which is fine.

You’re right, it is condescending to rave about a woman’s looks. It’s Sarah’s American spirit that most of her fans love. We recognize a great patriot when we hear one.

Let’s like her for the right reasons

And one reason is she's a fighter and isn't going to back down. Hey, if she looked good, great. Just one less thing the Left can use to attack her.(New Jersey gov. challenger was fat- they ran with it, for instance, and lost ;^)

And when they can't attack her on her appearance they'll have to confront her conservatism, and they'll lose.

I’m taking Gov. Palin’s advice over yours, thank you.

I have concerns about how seriously both Palin and those who support her are taken, and four paragraphs about hair, eyes, etc., prompted me to state my cautionary opinion. We might’ve had a better discussion if you’d been more specific about what you disagreed with, rather than just telling me that I shouldn’t say anything unless it’s judged useful by...who?

However, I am remiss in saying that once the reader gets past the first part of the event report, the author does just fine.

On another note, I applaud your excellent essay about the Iraq strategy on your home page.
