The other networks were following the White House admonition not to cover it.

CNN assembled a crack team of political commentators to discuss things as the night progressed, as most news programs will do. CNN’s team consisted of James Carville, Ben Stein, and Jesse Ventura. I was stuck in a hotel room in North Carolina with no other news channels available. My forehead still hurts from pounding it on the desk.

Wow. They should have brought in some more fire power to stave off Stein. Sounds like an unfair fight.

I was disappointed with FOX last night, I missed Michael Baronne. FOX seemed to step all over themselves trying not to make a call in NJ when the vote count was at 75% and Christie continued his 100M vote lead. They kept saying this was real close and could go on all night. Pretty weak.

The Fox News success story has got to be driving the Obama administration out of its mind.
Listened to the NPR news at 4:00 on my commute home. They said about ten words on the election. Later on in the hour they said a little bit more, emphasizing that the defeats do not reflect on Obama and mentioning that Hoffman in New York was backed by Palin.

They are kick ass numbers, no doubt.
I just miss Michael Barone, because he is the authority on politics down to the district level in every state. I believe he could have added a lot to the information on NY-23.

Fox News covers the election, so the other networks shouldn't follow Fox!

Stein couldn’t do anything but fawn all over Obama and gush about what a great campaigner he was. He totally discounted any chance of these elections being about Obama’s policies and kept going on about how it was all about personalities. He actually made Jesse Ventura sound intelligent.
