The answer to this question is unequivocally no! 1.When do Muslims reciprocate? 2.Under Islam, Jesus is supposed to come back and destroy the cross. How can any Christian show respect to a religion that says that?
Unfortunately some so called Christian leaders do not have the guts to face reality. Two of them are Pastor's Brian Mclaren, and Rick Warren. Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center gets it.

ok ok, I promise not to eat any muslims.
Well here we agree!
Have a good day. :)
Bacon! - Mmmm, Mmmm, Mmmm..............
no
No, but losing your lunch, blowing cookies, ralphing, or barfing, does.
Christians should have some respect for the price Christ paid at Calvary by refraining from participating in ANY non-Christian ceremony. Stand by politely, but don’t honor or show reverence to Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist or any other religious practice out there.
Be polite, but no real homage should be paid.
Pork sandwiches and beer at lunch.
Reading this article, or portions of it, reminded me of an experience I had at the Honey Baked Ham store. It was right before Easter and I thought I’d try out their ridiculously overpriced hams.
So, I got to the counter and the lady didn’t even wish me a Happy Easter. I was a little disappointed. Who was she worried about offending? Jews do not eat pork, so they can’t be her customers. Muslims are forbidden even to be NEAR pork, so they can’t be her customers. Just pure nonsense is what it was.
Pass the bacon!
This horseshit’s like gay marriage, “Press 1 for English, press 2 for Spanish”, smoking bans extending everywhere, etc, etc. That all started off small-and now look.
If you told an American, 50 years ago, that this would even be discussed at all, he would have looked at you like you had two heads.
If the same guy is still alive today, 90-some years old, he’s probably saying “I stormed Guadalcanal to allow this shit to happen?”
I’ll be there.
Can I give emotional support by eating artificial bacon bits instead?
“That all started off small-and now look.”
The brakes need to be applied, before we end up like the UK.
Christians already have their own days and seasons for fasting. Our own tradition is more than rich enough; I can't believe we're even discussing having to borrow someone else's customs.
Christians fast on Wednesdays and Fridays, OK? Christians fast during Lent. Christians fast before receiving the Holy Eucharist. Christians abstain from meat on specified days and seasons. All these practices are well-established for anyone who cares to ask.
You don’t have to have a special event, feast, or day to fast, but having a special purpose is important. My youngest son (25) finds great satisfaction in fasting when he is encountering hurdles in his life and doesn’t know what direction to take. Fasting gives him insight into God’s plan for him. Also, fasting should be a totally voluntary event, not something forced on people by Church rules. (Go ahead, I’m wearing my flame-retardant suit.)
Nope. Not me. To what end would I do this? Out of respect for their beliefs? What would they do out of respect for my beliefs? Not saw my head off? No, I am not Muslim, I am deeply suspicious of Muslims and I would be simply going to the motions. I would not be doing it out of any deeply help personal religious convictions but to gain the favor of those who would know about it. Did not Christ warn about this? Did he not tell us about the rich man who made a show of how much he was giving to the church because he was doing it to impress others and the old woman whose giving was heartfelt.
This is a sissy fast. The only fast for day light hours and pork out at night.
To whom, or among whom, exactly, is this debatable?
"Should Muslims go to Mass every Sunday?" Mosque leaders and Muslims weigh in on current debate. Which is, alas, inaudible.
