Who would've thought the horror movie series I love would go political on me.
I'm not going to spoil the movie, so I'll just tell you the political message of it.
So the movie opens up and we see 2 people who are in cells and they're across from 1 another, Jigsaw comes on and he starts his speech, he says that they're PREDATORY LENDORS who take advantage of people who would never be able to pay back their loans. I turn my head to the right and whisper to hubby "did he just say predatory lenders" hubby smirks and says "yes they did", at this point I'm thinking OK, I'm going to be prepared and jot down a note to myself about the scene, I don't have paper so I see the box of Whoppers that I got for $1 at the concession stand with a coupon they gave me, so I dump the Whoppers out and jot down info.
So we go to scene 2 now, it's set at an Insurance Company and you hear them talking about PRE-EXISTING conditions, I look at hubby and say "pre-existing conditions"? he says yes and he says write that down (LOL, he's not political at all). Then we hear someone talking about pre-existing conditions and people being denied insurance. Next thing you know we see a patient talking to, I guess a Supervisor, and he wants to know why his insurance was cancelled, they said it was cancelled because 20 years ago he had surgery on a benign tumor on his jaw, the scar tissue from that caused gum disease, and the gum disease caused his heart disease. They said the tumor should've been disclosed. The man denied his insurance.
Just a reminder, this is supposed to be a horror movie, and since I've seen the previous 5 I assumed it wouldn't be political.
Then for a few minutes we see the investigation into the 1 scene.
Then we get to the maze of killing scenes. So who is the guy who has to get through each part of the maze alive to eventually be free? the Insurance Company guy who denied the sick mans insurance. All the people in the maze either work with the guy or who have some other knowledge about him.
The 1st part of the maze I can't give away, but it was politically correct.
We get to the 2nd part of the maze and the insurance guy has to choose between 2 employees, 1 is a single man with no family and the 2nd is a middle aged woman who has a husband and family but has a history of diabetes in the family. He has to choose which 1 to save.
We have another scene that I didn't see as politically correct.
Then another, the same thing, didn't see the political correctness.
At some point we see Jigsaw and he tells him why he's doing this. Jigsaw says this, that it's not the Doctor's making life or death choices, it's not the Government making life or death choices, it's the INSURANCE COMPANY making life or death choices! I would get pretty ticked off if I worked in the insurance industry and saw this movie, they were making them the villains. And yes, I flashed back to a month ago when Obama was making them into villains.
I can't tell you how disappointed I was with the message of this movie. IMO it was meant to anger the average person who doesn't pay attention to politics and who blames the rich guy and corporations for all their problems.
The movie itself as far as the methods of taking care of people via archaic machinery, I'd give it 4 stars.
But the shoving down my throat of an agenda by Hollywood and unfairly putting out a message to those who have no idea what's going on? I give it 0 stars!
Darn movie ticked me off like you wouldn't believe. If I know a movie is going to preach to me beforehand then I make a decision to see it or not, but to come out of the blue like this with a political message is just wrong.
I didn’t realize there was a Saw II, III, IV or V.
So its the bank’s fault?
Think about the pervert Seth Macfarlane. His cartoons occupy an entire time slot on Fox, and they are nothing more than Christian Bashing pro-Homosexual infomercials. The perverts know that they can snow a large majority of the populace, so they are working harder than ever now.
And you didn’t demand your money back? Fool.
Is nothing sacred anymore?
I laughed until I cried reading this, even though it’s sad as hell!!
LOL
Eventually, I think most conservatives wind up in the boat with VDH:

Exactly!
I have no doubt they threw this movie together quick to get out Obama and the Democrats agenda.
There was so many unanswered questions in Saw I. /sarcasm
I would have demanded my money back. Luckily I’m not into blood and gore kinda movies but still. What else is knew with Liberal Hollywood. They did the same thing last week with Obama’s go out and volunteer program. I was watching Days Of Our Lives and one of the characters asks another character on the show when she is gonna volunteer. I was like “Oh man is nothing sacred” but I wasn’t surprised since its NBC=Nothing But Barack Channel
ML/NJ
What? No drs. hacking peoples’ feet off, willy nilly or ripping kid’s tonsils out?
Was there a pitch for “volunteerism” by Michelle?
I watched V for Vendetta with a conservative eye and actually enjoyed the wierdness of it but this one sounds like its so in your face that it would be unbearable.
This is worse than what they did with the last Indiana Jones movie and the second X Files movie.
Of course. They figure if they can’t get out their message in the media, they will promote it on TV shows and movies. Somewhere in Venezuela, Hugo Chavez is smiling.
Nope, it was all the insurance companies fault!
“I didnt realize there was a Saw II, III, IV or V.”
I saw the first one and couldn’t imagine why anyone would want to watch such a bloody hackfest. People wonder why such horrible true crimes are comitted, I’d dare venture that the killers have been exposed to years of slasher flicks.
OMG! even on a soap opera we’re not safe from Obama’s agenda?
