So, how did YOU shoot today? Getting ready for when TSHTF (The Sh!t hits the fan) and had another great time. I took my friend Ray with me, he's the one with all the hair and we popped off an even 600!! rounds of 9mm personal protection.
My focus today was to work on target acquisition and then trying to squeeze off five controlled shots fairly quickly. See pics below to see the best two sets. Then, I worked on strong hand/strong eye, see the black target for one of those sets. Felt REAL good to put holes in that diamond with just one hand!
Next weekend, I go to an advanced pistol course. We'll get to use a holster with moving and shooting. It starts at 530pm so it will be great to see some muzzle flash. I can't wait.
The point of all this practice is to become proficient at handling this beautiful Sig 226. There just may come a time when American Patriots will be called to defend America from enemies, both foreign and domestic.

After 600 rounds today, the SIG was very dirty. The Blazer ammo leaves actual specs of crap...after this batch, I’m sticking with Lellier&Bellot from Czechoslovakia, plenty available and real brass, not that tin stuff...
I like the cleaning part so far, it’s nice comfy time!

Neat site, there isn’t anything local for me, and my knees probably wouldn’t take all that up and down stuff. Looks like great fun though!

We’ll be at the indoor range this coming Friday for some pistol work, and out the the desert next weekend for rifle work. The big ranges are overrun with hunters sighting in rifles this week.

Hey GRRRRR, I envy you got to go target shooting. The world’s best gun salesman inspired me to by 2 SigArms this spring. I got the P226 in the .357sig and then went back the following month and got the P226 in the 9mm. Directly after the election I picked up a vintage Colt Officer’s Model .22LR pistol in great condition. I got plenty of ammo for all before there were supply issues. It had been years since I added to the collection, but I doubled it after the horrible result of Nov.4th. Glad you like that Sig. I haven’t used mine yet, being that ammo is near the price of gold (sarcasm in neutral), but heard good stuff about the Sigs here on FR and got ‘em while I could.
Shot 7 rounds of skeet. Nothing special, barely broke 90 with the .410.
Shot a couple hundred rounds with my carry gun. Did OK considering I never get to the range.
Shot minimum rounds in a NRA Instructor class.
