So, how did YOU shoot today? Getting ready for when TSHTF (The Sh!t hits the fan) and had another great time. I took my friend Ray with me, he's the one with all the hair and we popped off an even 600!! rounds of 9mm personal protection.
My focus today was to work on target acquisition and then trying to squeeze off five controlled shots fairly quickly. See pics below to see the best two sets. Then, I worked on strong hand/strong eye, see the black target for one of those sets. Felt REAL good to put holes in that diamond with just one hand!
Next weekend, I go to an advanced pistol course. We'll get to use a holster with moving and shooting. It starts at 530pm so it will be great to see some muzzle flash. I can't wait.
The point of all this practice is to become proficient at handling this beautiful Sig 226. There just may come a time when American Patriots will be called to defend America from enemies, both foreign and domestic.
Here's Ray
Here's ME
5 shot quickfire. Don't know how that flyer got in at 6 o'clock???
Another 5 set, that's BETTER!
Strong right hand/eye.
All sets shown at 25 feet, Blazer 9mm Luger 115gr FMJ
Looks like some perps won’t be re-offending...
Hope you all had a fine weekend. Did you get out to the range?
G
Nice shooting. I went up in the mountains today and bagged 8 quail and 4 tree squirrels. Birds with a shottie and the tree rats with a rimfire handgun.
Goin to the range tomorrow with a long-time freind....... will play at the rifle range & gongs, do some sillouette work with handguns and finish up busting clays.
Hi there GRRRRR! No didn’t make it out. I’m afraid to use my ammo because it’s so difficult to obtain. Excellent shooting toward the end. I miss going but...right now holding tight..THANKS for sharing!
PS agree on the SigForum
I didn’t fire a single shot. I did walk around the yard and nearby woods a few times with a pistol in my pocket tho.
What are you shooting?
Check out

they have lots of stuff both IN and on back order. They send me my 9mm right to my front porch.
Dang handsome piece of hardware you got. I am having thoughts that my Sig is lonely all by itself. I definately want another SIG, perhaps in .45 or .40, but then having to get a large supply of ammo in another caliber could strain the pocket book. I’d like another brand too, SW .38 special would be nice...
Are those powder marks on the target? How close we’re you. (Just kidding. Good shooting)
I put the first 50 rounds thru my new S&W model 442 .38 special. The gun’s so lite & the handle so small it feels like a hand-cannon. And yes, my hand hurts.
Is that the 9mm model?
Yes. That’s the 9mm EMP.
I stayed home and cleaned guns and gear. I’m going to parkerize the 12 guage pump, the blue is worn down pretty heavy. 25 years in canoes and Jon boats takes a toll. Mechanically, the old girl is good as new.
Well out sighting my gun for dear season next month does that count?
nice targets.
Took my T/C Hawken .50 muzzleloader out for the first time (for me) today. Not sure if I’m going to keep it just yet. It’s fun,but it IS a hassle to do the cleanup after use.
Yeah, for sure...how did it go? What are you shooting? What kind of scope?
Got out Friday. About 70 rounds of .223 Wolf through an AR-180B, bench shooting at 100 yards. Took a little while to settle in, last two sets were all in the paint (about 2 MOA). Good day.
Then came the cleaning. Wolf is DIRTY. Took about 1 hour for a complete tear down, clean, oil, and re-assemble. But that’s OK, I don’t mind doing that, either.
At the range today, there were some Russians with all sorts of hardware.
They got some attention when they sent some .44mag rounds down range...then they unloaded some .50 PISTOL rounds...you could feel the entire place shake and the air all moved big time...each round costs $2.50 so they didn’t shoot too many!!
