Let me start by sharing that I like Governor Sarah Palin. Yes, I know she's no longer governor of the Great State of Alaska, but I was raised that you call a person who was a head of state by their former title, hence I will refer to her as Governor Sarah Palin. But it's the "former" tag that will keep her out of office for a good long time.

Like Sarah, I’m an ASICS gal. Have been since high school and always will be. Though, I did like the free pair of NBs I got for fund raising efforts.
This guy reminds of those 5-star restaurants with the gourmet chefs who act as if the main course was the Hope diamond and therefor never to be consumed but merely admired; so, at great length they gush about its quality but finally conclude it can only be served to those who appreciate its meteoric timeliness.
They dress the plate in all their finery and present it to the select few.
And they, in turn, proceed to pick at the edges of the plate until they leave the retaurant unsatisfied and yet strangely dyspeptic.

Nor sure, but don't think either one quit in the middle of their terms. This I think really hurt her, know matter how lofty her reasons were. I really don't think she's ready or could be elected to the Presidency in the next election. I'd go up through the ranks, run for congress, and get some experience under my belt first.
I'd love to hear what Arthur McGowan would have to say about a shot of me doing a groin stretch before a run....
(BTW, I'm a New Balance man, especially how they're (mostly) made in the US. Horrible for daily walking around, but great for running. However, I'm PO'd that they got rid of their iconic 991 line, I could order it blindly and know I'd get an assured fit.)

And every Republican and a good portion of those on this forum claps with glee. And smiles contentedly as obama begins his second term.
The following sentence from the editorial highlights the myopic hyper-prejudiced tunnel vision of the San Francisco Chronicle writer:
"...Gov. Palin has become a kind of repository for the hopes and fears of the undereducated mostly white American masses..."
The above nonsense is a clear example of what Conservatives are forced to deal with every single day.
It also explains clearly why now more than ever it is critically important for Conservatives to have Free Republic as our online resource where we can discuss the real news, not the news as the current administration's public relations spin machine is spewing it.
We need Free Republic because it's the online site where Conservatives can discuss, defend and make cogent arguments about all Conservative issues.
Free Republic is not just a site where Conservatives give voice to opinions in often heated discussions. Free Republic also serves as a rallying point where Conservatives can align with other Conservatives and get involved in making our strongly held opinions heard above the fray of leftist bleating.
Conservatives on Free Republic become involved and remain involved in grassroots activism, all while making the steps necessary to return our country to its Conservative principles and standards.
Jim Robinson wrote about his own activism, what would clearly be an arduous journey for anyone:

As for Sarah Palin, I voted for her in 2008 and hope she does not run for President in 2012. I do not think she can win the Presidency after only one shortened term as Alaska's governor. That being said, she is probably the candidate that best represents me so I would certainly vote for her again. I think she would do better representing Alaska in the Senate and then running for President.
