Conservatives cant deny the courage, conviction and effectiveness of Glenn Becks crusade against the Progressive movement and corruption in our nations capital. Glenns efforts have emboldened many to stand tall and fearless for traditional America. Beck single handedly got a wacko communist to resign his position as Green Job Czar a position that existed solely to perpetuate the greatest scam in world History. The recent acorn unraveling is due, in no small part, to the inspiration and cover Glenn has provided the heroic; Andrew Breitbart, James OKeefe and Hannah Giles (hubba hubba).
However, as events unfold at a rapid pace, the God Father of Conservatism has weighed in with a note of caution. On his 9/14/09 program, Rush Limbaugh addresses, what he deems, a troubling theme emerging from the Tea Party movement.
Looks like Rush did a good job of piting people against each other.
I have loved Rush 18 years but today I was ashamed of him.
I wondered when the egos would prove to be more than the love for country?
Glenn Beck has put his and his family in danger. I would not do it for a bunch ungrateful know it alls.

I’m against the idea of a third party.
But it is up to the GOP to attract conservatives who are sick of big government.
The fate of the Republican party is in their hands.
It’s their choice whether they ignore the teaparties or embrace them.
We will know the answer to that depending on if Mike Pence becomes Republican Leader in the house, and if the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee continues to endorse and finance Charlie Crist in his run against the conservative Marco Rubio.
The time to throw RINOs out is during the primaries.
If conservatives can’t defeat RINOs in a Republican primary, then they sure as hell can’t beat Democrats in a general election.
Conservatives need to take back the GOP.
That would be a lot easier and more successful than trying to start a new party.
And how long do you think a new party could go until it became infested with the same RINO types as the GOP?
The only way to keep them out is to be electorally unsuccessful. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about the party becoming diluted.
The Republican Party needs new life and we will bring it to them. You have heard of Born Again Christians. You will see Born Again Republicans!
I’m quite aware of the link. What I’m interested in is all this bickering it’s caused. Rush is this, Glenn is that. They’re both Americans and they’re both helping this country. If Rush has something to say he’ll come out and say it.
Mark Levin unloaded on Glenn Beck today, without calling him out by name.
Amen. People on this thread need to pay attention. Who says Rush was talking about Glenn? Just an implied thought brought on by this thread.
Two heroes from two ends of a desired spectrum that have done more for us recently, and we would spend time debating and comparing them????
WTF, people...our efforts are needed elsewhere on the front line...unless, if course, we have time to also discuss Kenye West and Beyonce!!!
I like that idea! I have no idea how to do anything like that. I wouldn’t even know where to start! But that’s exactly what I’m thinking. I wouldn’t really want to call it community organizers, kinda has a bad connotation these days! Maybe “committees of correspondence”? Whatever it is called, I think it needs to get going now! I hope conservatives are every bit as dedicated as the far leftists who took over the Dem party. We can take over our party, too!
No apology necessary. I know how the system is supposed to work. I just doubt that it is. There is too much manipulation going on and I’m convinced McCain got the nomination because it was ‘his’ turn. Maybe I’m too cynical.
It's my opinion that the government controlled media pushes our candidates. They pushed Rudy. Then when Fred entered the race, they pushed Huckabee splitting the conservatives. It was at that point, with Rudy going nowhere, that the government controlled media finally pushed McCain.
And to add insult to injury they are probably pushing the line, that McCain was all the RNC's fault. Don't fall for it.
You think you're entitled to a monopoly on being snotty?
The only democrat I would ever have voted for in my lifetime was Zell Miller. Before that, the last Democrat would have been Andrew Jackson. He hated the central banks, too.
The point of the column is that Rush is cautioning against portraying the tea parties as apolitical, and is a reaction to issues rather than a party’s take on the issues. If the tea parties are apolitical, then it becomes easier to form them into a third party movement, and third parties always lose. Always.
Rush is saying that the tea parties need to be talked about as a response to Democrat policies, which is exactly what they are.
Show me where I made a snotty remark to you.
But they (RNC) can make it hell on conservatives by withholding support and have done so in the past
I’m smart enough to know that I don’t know all the goings on. It reminds me a little of national security. IF we knew everything going on in the world right now there would be no more good nights’ rest. IF we knew what went on in the power circles of either party, and for all we know it could by now be the same circle, there would be no option but to wipe the slate clean and start over.
