ACORN Story Grows But OUR #1 ENEMY the LAME Stream Media Refuse to Cover It
Fox News ^

Posted on 09/14/2009 2:02:41 PM PDT by MaxCUA

Bruce Springsteen once wrote: “From Small Things (Big Things One Day Come).” I doubt he expected that story of love gone wrong would become ideal political commentary for the group known as ACORN. The small scandal showing an embarrassing video of Baltimore ACORN staffers looking like they were giving tax advice on how to set up a brothel, is now national news. -- This story has everything you could ever want – corruption, sleazy actions at tax-funded organizations, firings, government ties, sex, hookers. It is a network news director’s dream. Imagine the ratings! Only almost no one is covering it. This is the news media in the era of Van Jones and Obama. The major outlets cover what they want and create the themes they want. When they find something inconvenient, they let it pass. They didn’t like the Van Jones story, so they ignored it. The network news media liked the financial entity known as Fannie Mae, so they ignored that scandalous organization for years. ACORN is getting the same treatment.

That's been going on for a while. Have you looked at their viewership demographics and trends?

Don't count on them covering the story at all. Only thing that will get their attention (which is not necessary) is an indictment from the U.S. Attorney's office.

The lack of coverage by the MSM ma not matter.

Up until Obama the MSM was competing with the Internet and was beginning to lose the war. Since Obama took office, the Internet is replacing the MSM.

The MSM has a bad product and consumers have found an alternative source that is quite a bit better.

FINALLY! The Rush Limbaugh Show | 9/14/09 Rush proposes next tea party events at National Media Outlets http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2339380/posts

The media is the enemy’s front line defense, until they are confronted and exposed nothing gets better! There is an ABC,NBC, CBS, CNN affiliate in every city. We could ALL attend these protests nationwide! At least they would get local coverage. They can ignore and lie about protests when held in one spot, but they can’t ignore us in every city at the same time.

The time is right...LET’S ROLL!

Well, this story doesn’t just have legs, it has wings! And the Lame Stream Media is going to lose big-time as a result of trying to ignore it.

The Washington Post finally got around to doing a story on it Saturday, and the comments were entertaining. One person said, “What is this, Habitat for Hoes?” Of course, the Post, which has the worst local coverage of any large newspaper I know of, didn’t write about this until the video of the people in DC was released; they did not report about it when it was just Baltimore.

Wouldn’t it be cool if someone started a Conservative Online Television channel? Maybe a Morning and Evening Newscast, an hour-long morning show, a news discussion show with Richard Poe, David Horowitz, Laura Ingraham and guests.

Just to start it off, of course.

Then allow other conservative organizations to post their own weekly video programs to the site too.

I think it could be huge.

Rush had thrown the dice, and now WE must take action.

How many of those who marched in DC and support them would give a few deniro a month to help launch ConservativeTV.tv or something like that?

MSNBC finally covered it. Of course, the angle was how everyone, both left and right, does it, it really isn’t much of a story and is being used by the right to defame ACORN. The right wing should be ashamed of themselves, using ACORN’s own words to defame them.

You can complain about the incredible bias of the MSM, or you can advocate that the Republican party, when back in power, initiate anti-trust actions against the major media company oligopoly.

This means to separate the media again, so that no single company controls TV, radio, movies, newspapers, magazines, books, large parts of the Internet media, concerts, and ticket sales.

Granted, this is too big a bite to take all at once, but if just the worst of these oligopolies were broken up, the public would again get both news and more balanced opinion.
