The President is F%^ked
The Provocateur ^ | 09/09/2009 | Mike Volpe

Here's what I have heard in the last twenty four hours. Earlier this morning, Max Baucus said that he was close to a bi partisan agreement. That agreement would have a trigger and not a public option. Then, we also heard the Democrats were planning a strategy to go it alone and try and pass the bill using reconciliation, and such only 51 votes. Then, I heard Jan Schakowski this morning say she won't support any bill without a public option. Then, Max Baucus came out later in the day and said that hopes for a bipartisan effort are dimming.

Pelosi Not Budging on ‘Public Option,’ Even as Top Democrats Give Ground

FOXNews.com

Wednesday, September 09, 2009

On all sides of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, other Democratic leaders — including President Obama — are casting the so-called “public option” as important but not essential, as conservatives assail it and moderate Democrats steadily back away from it.

...

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/09/pelosi-stands-firm-public-option-democrats-ground/

This is one HOT potato!

Semi conscious Demoncrats KNOW the majority of their constituents don't want universal government care. They can NOT vote for that otherwise they are out of office in the next election.

I heard earlier the vote is not there in the Senate for universal government obama care. Poor boy. He didn't rush it through and people are now FAMILIAR with his evil antics. This should be fun to see how it plays out.

I can't stomach Obama so I'll tune in to Rush tomorrow for a rehash.

Best outcome is for San Fran Nan to hold fast for the public option. It is the best chance for the whole thing to swirld down the toilet, unpassed, just like it deserves to do.

Snippets...

The word appears to be that Obama will say that he wants the public option but that it's not a deal breaker.

If that's the case, this speech is totally suicidal politically. How can an average voter judge if the bill is worthwhile if they don't know if it includes a public option? That totally changes the structure of the bill. Yet, after seven months, President Obama will still be non committal on it.

The public simply doesn't believe the president when he says: "you won't lose your coverage", "costs won't go up", "choice won't be limited", "medical service won't be cut back", and "this won't bankrupt us". There's no way to explain why the public is wrong on all these fronts in thirty minutes. That's especially true if he doesn't commit to a specific plan. So, all he can do is change the soundbites. Yet, he's losing the war of soundbites. He isn't losing because his his slogans are worse than the opposition. He's losing because the people don't believe what he claims the bill will do.

So, we have total chaos. There's more and more plans, not less. The president can't commit on the most contentious issue. The president refuses to see that it's his vision that's being rejected. So, he will make another speech that lays out his vision only with more details, a different hook, and anything else he can dream up. If that's the case, and all indications are it is, the president is then totally f$%^ed.

Obviously, this was written by an Obama supporter. Wouldn't it be great if this were true?

It’s a headline on Drudge now that the Dems don’t have the votes to pass healthcare by themselves.

I’m keeping my powder dry on this. There has been so much confused spin coming from the Democrats (a la this article), I don’t know what to believe. I’m waiting to see, but no, I won’t be watching. NCIS for this household...

Is Obama's speech this evening? Is it broadcasted at all? can anyone provide a link if it is?

I want to analyse what he's saying, especially now I can stomach him, being in a good mood as England have just hammered Croatia at Wembley to qualify for the World Cup!

Not only that, but there are a number of articles linked on Drudge by leftists, that aren’t complementary. I’m beginning to suspect this is a managed effort at managing low expectations. That way he can have a mediocre speech and they’ll claim victory. That’s what they do; manage the news and the event.

But wasn’t it just yesterday that Pelosi and Reid said they had the votes to do it?

You misread my post. I’m saying I don’t believe a word I read at this point. Too many conflicting releases coming from the Democrats/MSM. I suspect they’re setting the stage for low expectations so they can claim even a poor-mediocre speech a victory. I don’t trust them any farther than I can throw them.

He is F%^ked? Good! F%^ked Him!

Major speeches in the last month? This a-hole needs his own channel.

He is on TV damn near every day and sometimes twice as day.

He started his own sitcom back when he invented the “Office of the President Elect”.

Oh! And good news. He is having another Telethon tonight!

Yeahhhh!

Yeah, because now everything is in “Barack-O-Color”

The A-hole HAD his own channel during the election.
Not sure if it was just one cable system or all of them.
