The addition of such excluded groups caused the real unemployment rate to increase to 16.8%.

Inside the Numbers

A major cause of concern for within the economy is that a pattern has developed in which the real unemployment rate continues to rise at a faster pace than the adjusted unemployment rate. While the adjusted rate rose .3% last month, the real unemployment rate jumped .5%. As a result, the numbers demonstrate that the unemployed are remaining unemployed as the number of marginally attached unemployed jumped to a record high which will continue to place increased strains upon social services.

A jobless recovery isn’t a recovery at all. It’s just SRM spin for “0bama is still the lord. We must obey and worship him no matter the economic pain it causes.”

On a happier note ... I too am falling off the unemployment rolls after 10 months “vacation”. I got a job ... wrinkle is that I will have to move out of my native California to Dallas Texas ... Buh Bye California ... I’ll miss you (probably not) while I’m sitting on my porch in North Dallas sipping a Shiner wearing my side arm

Congratulations to you, and to any other guys who have managed to find a job.

I keep hearing from friends you have been out for a while, who have found something, so it’s not impossible.

This “recovery” is just a summer time lull before this winter’s 16% (actually 19%) unemployment.

I’m sitting on my porch in North Dallas sipping a Shiner wearing my side arm

Sounds like a movie

"North Dallas Forty-five"

Send away for a priceless gift
One not subtle, one not on the list
Send away for a perfect world
One not simply, so absurd
In these times of doing what you're told
You keep these feelings, no one knows
What ever happened to the young man's heart
Swallowed by pain, as he slowly fell apart...

And I'm staring down the barrel of a 45,
Swimming through the ashes of another life [another life]
No real reason to accept the way things have changed
Staring down the barrel of a 45...

(song lyrics by Shinedown)

Jobless economic recovery..........yeah right.

Wish in one hand and spit in the other, see which fills up first.

Who the heck do these people think we are.

In fact, a jobless recovery and 60% of the American economy driven by consumption are diametrically opposite.

Hey, uncle sugar.....don’t insult us with your propaganda.

A hearty congratulations to you!! I've been fortunate enough to keep working through this, the WORST RECESSION SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION, but if I end up losing my job I too and going to head to Texas. I've had more than my fill up here in the people's socialist repuliK of Illannoyed and could sure use a warmer climate during the winter months with my arthritic back 'n all....

Best wishes in your new home!
