A recent (August 17) Gallup poll found that in every one of the 50 states, there are more conservatives than liberals. Gallup's astoundingly significant findings were virtually ignored by the liberal media, which has been reduced to nothing more than a giant public relations network for the leftist Democrat Party.
Even Gallup itself couldn't admit the truth of its own survey results, headlining its report "Political Ideology: 'Conservative' Label Prevails in the South." The South? When did all 50 states become part of the South? South of what -- the moon? You have to read the sub-head to see that there are actually more conservatives than liberals in every state of the Union -- yes, even in the Democrat bastions of Massachusetts and Vermont. To try to save a little face for the libs, Gallup incorrectly labels Washington, D.C. a "state" in order to have some place on its charts where it can say that there are more liberals than conservatives.
Even more intriguing to us than the "what" of Gallup's results is the "why" -- why are Americans increasingly prefering to self-identify as conservatives? The overreaching by president Obama and the Democrats is one possible answer. Americans in greater numbers are recoiling from the Left's attempt to change the Republic of the founders into a socialist nightmare. Liberals themselves have become the most effective recruiters for the conservative cause.
Consider the following from nutroots website Washington Politics and Affairs:
"Why doesn't Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin and the rest of them come and say the real reason they are opposed to health care reform is because they cannot stand the idea that the President of the United States does not look like them or fit the stereotype of the American Aryan they envision as the normal American. Barack Obama is Black and they cannot stand it. They are racist morons who want to return this country to the days before the Civil War when this country was divided into classes. Their opposition to health care reform is about class, money and power. They need to stop reading Mein Kamf and try reading the Federalist Papers or the Constitution."It is amazing how much stupidity, ignorance and hate can be packed into one paragraph. Notice how the race card is played right off the bat by the moonbat author, whose thesis is that Sarah Palin opposes Obama care because she allegedly is a racist. Adrienne Ross debunks that foul liberal lie here. Adrienne, who just happens to be a young conservative woman of color, looks a lot like Sarah Palin to us. When we look at the photo on Adrienne's blog of the two women together, we see two beautiful children of God who practice what Dr. Martin Luther King preached -- that it is by the content of a person's character that he or she should be judged, not by the color of their skin. As Adrienne explained in another post:
"And while the Left continues to race bait, while they call white conservatives like Sarah Palin 'racist' and Black conservatives like me 'sell-out,' I know Dr. King got it, even forty six years ago, and what's more important, I get it.Americans have grown weary of liberals -- especially white liberals -- playing the race card and calling conservatives "racist" for their stands on issues that have nothing whatsoever to do with race. It is a major turn-off, and it is increasingly Makjing conservatives our of thoughtful moderates and independents out of Democrats. Who's are the real "racist morons" now, Washington Politics and Affairs?
Having played the race card, the author plays another all-too-familiar card the Left keeps up its collective sleeve -- the Nazi card -- saying "they" need to "stop reading Mein Kampf and try reading the Federalist Papers or the Constitution." We submit that if this author has indeed read the Constitution, then he or she has a severe reading comprehension deficit. I challenge the author to cite the section of the constitution which declares that not only is health care a "right" but that it is the duty of the federal government to provide it. Playing the Nazi card is another stupid liberal trick which may play well with those way out there on the leftist fringe, but, like playing the race card, it pushes the thoughtful moderate independents and even Democrats away from the Left.
The more liberals try to paint Sarah Palin and other conservatives as the racists and Nazis that they clearly are not, the more Sarah's message will resonate with ordinary Americans of all colors and creeds, and the conservative majority will continue to grow. Playing the race card, the class card and the Nazi card are poor subsitutes for presenting an argument on the merits of an issue. The Left has gone to their dried-up well too many times, and the majority of Americans now recognize the difference.

1) There are more Conservatives than Republicans
2) There are less Liberals than Democrats.
Those are the people we must reach. Reagan knew it, and he knew how to reach them.
Remember Reagan was way behind in the polls against Carter until he came up with this clever slogan, “Are you better off than you were four years ago?”. That tipped the scales in his favor the rest of the campaign.
That's why I have chose this slogan for my bumper sticker:
Are You Better Off Than You Were
4 Trillion Dollars Ago?
Maybe this is true, but the reality of the situation is that these supposedly conservative Americans could not prevent the election of a rabidly left-wing, race Marxist.
“Are You Better Off Than You Were
4 Trillion Dollars Ago?”
Bravo Zulu, Navy!

She’s being remarkably generous.
Obviously O’s base lives in the other 7 states.
This is more sad than encouraging. This has always been a more conservative than liberal republic. That said, I have to assume that there are more lazy conservatives than lazy liberals.
Lazy conservatives, like lazy liberals, go into the voting booth and pull the big “R” lever thinking they are advancing their cause. This is far from true, as we have seen time and again. The number of left leaning conservatives, in my opinion, outnumber the true conservatives now holding office.
So, what will cause this to change? Another “Contract with America”? That was good short term. But it didn’t last.
What will cause the masses to elect another Reagan? The only thing that can is most likely happening now. A total swing of the pendulum to the left. Let’s just hope we survive long enough, and retain the power of the vote, to elect another Reagan.
That’s because millions of conservatives stayed home last November 4th. Even with Sarah Palin on the ticket, they couldn’t bring themselves to vote for John McCain, who had stabbed too many conservatives in the back for his own good.

If conservatives outnumber every RAT communists liberal in every State then why do we have King Obama? I’ll tell you why. Because at the final moments of the campaigning conservatives would not vote for McNut because they did like him. Like a little child the voters couldn’t see beyond their petty crap. And they will do it the next time. Watch and see! McNut was nothing to be proud of but Palin would have held this insane old man in check.
I’ll take your word for it, though I have yet to see hard statistical evidence that conservatives stayed home in large enough numbers to elect the Zero.
McCain was at the very best uninspiring, but George Bush also failed to provide a stark conservative contrast to the ongoing, bipartisan sea change toward big government collectivism.
I question the definition of conservatism advanced by Gallup. I wonder how many of them were blacks with “conservative” values, who pulled the lever based on dermal melanin alone?
I think the poll asked “how do you identify yourself” a better more accurate poll would ask where do you stand on a long list of issues. People are bad at self assessment. Unfortunately people are not very politically consistent or true. They change their minds too often. One of the banes of free elections are that people get to vote.
Until we can quantify the impact of fraud in the election process all these polls are close to meaningless.
Wonder why. The NAZIs were socialists and that makes them leftists. We should point this out every time we hear the word NAZI. Nice piece. Hope it is true. We will see in 2010.
Conservative’ Label Prevails in the South.” ............................. Duhhhh! And where do you think all these southerners came from? Mostly fed up escapees from the Liberal North.
“Are you better off than $4 Trillion ago?” Brilliant!!!
In order for the minority to win, they must fool enough of the unaware middle with the media to get close enough for voter fraud to put them over the top. That is why conservative media voices and the internet scare them so much. Initially they thought the internet would be their indoctrination tool; and although they have used it effectively, it presents a medium by which information that they seek to control escapes their grasp. When I was on business travel during the Clinton impeachment time frame, I could not follow what was going on because there was essentially a media blackout outside Washington and other highly liberal cities.
They know they are the minority and always have been. That is why they use the tactics they do. But they are convinced with the leftist playbook that indoctrination of the youth will put them into the majority.
There are two keys to conservative success: Build trust with the people and disseminate a message that grasps the fundamentals of the key issues.
