After the dust has settled, the smoke blown away, and the rubble cleared from public spaces, one of the first acts needs to be to confiscate the assets of the those who caused this debacle and use them as a down payment on the debt they stupidly, corruptly, intentionally generated.

The possibility is raised in this piece that the government may basically “wag the dog” and take us to war in an effort to forestall a domestic revolt. But I think that would misfire, given the fact that Obama has worked hard to weaken our intelligence community. If war comes to us, many citizens would say “Again! Those darn politicians have let us down — again!” and I think the revolt would be strengthened rather than dissipated.

That would be highly satisfying, but I don't think we'll exact that sort of revenge on the guilty. Instead, they'll be forced to exist in a system where they will sink or swim on their own efforts. Many, if not most of them will succumb, all on their own, and without any assistance from us.

Restoring America to its constitutional basics will usher in an era of unprecedented prosperity and affluence for this country. We simply need for the artificial constraints to be removed from our people, and we will rebound like never before.

The resultant increases in productivity, profits, and growth will allow us to pay down our debt in time. In fact, it's the only way that we will ever unshackle ourselves and our descendants from the slavery of debt.
