KENNEDY: Above the Constitution above the People
Creating Orwellian Worldview ^ | 8/26/09 | alaphiah

Note: This post was written before news of Sen. Kennedy’s death. We extend our sympathies to the family. What is written discusses political actions and not ad hominem attacks against the late Senator.

***
Kennedy is determined to control this whole health care debate and by extension this country whether he is a Senator or not. Liberal Democrats, it seems want to have their political desires met regardless of the consequences and Kennedy is just an example of that.

Democrats seem to be willing to move heaven and earth for their goal of universal health care and they seem to want to do it with no input from the American people. But one thing is for certain and that is Sen. Edward Kennedy shouldn’t be lionized for disrespecting the American people which he does by this request.

However that is exactly what Tracey D. Samuelson does in his piece, “Kennedy succession request is ‘all about healthcare.’ Samuelson seems to think that manipulating the system to get what one wants is commendable in Sen. Kennedy’s case. (see story)

Well said. We can mourn his passing, and feel for the family, and still oppose this man politically, and oppose the use of his political legacy to try to ram through Obamacare.

We conservatives are that nuanced, that we can differentiate between the passing of Ted Kennedy the man, and mourn his passing, while still opposing his politics, and the political situation with Obamacare.

I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop. I expect that Ted’s passing will be worked into the Obamacare debate. I wonder just how Democrats will do this. Will there be emotional appeals about this bill being Ted Kennedy’s legacy, or something along those lines?

You can almost bank on it since the socialist kingpins play to an audience of liberals that RUN ON PURE EMOTION, not fact. It has been part of the liberal playbook since day one.

he finally died?

I paid attention to him once. He was part of a roast of some conservative, a journalist maybe. He was absolutely hilarious. From then on I found it difficult to understand how someone with such a wit could really be as bad, let alone as evil, as they say, or perhaps, as circumstances might be able to suggest.

"We extend our sympathies to the family."

I know that is the politically correct thing to say, but I hold his family nearly as responsible for his behavior as I hold him. I cannot recall a single time where his "family" ever castigated or chastised him for any of his drunken, frat boy behavior. There was never a private price to be paid for abusing the little people, for the negligent homicide of a young girl, for the rape of a coed by "lads" under his wing, or for political hypocrisy on a thousand different issues. His "family" gained their wealth smuggling controlled substances that, at the time, were as illegal as cocaine is today and required the same violent and corrupt methods to accomplish. I am glad he is gone and will be glad when the rest of the clan fades away too.

Ted wasn’t writing any letters the first of this week to anyone about anything. Once again this cowardly family hides behind their walls and spins a story to advance their cause.

“I found it difficult to understand how someone with such a wit could really be as bad, let alone as evil, as they say, or perhaps, as circumstances might be able to suggest.”

Sitting on a river bank listening to a girl scream for help while suffocating, trying to claw her way out of a car through steel, with her fingernails, waiting to make sure she was dead so he could protect his political career might have something to do with the perception that “he could really be as bad, let alone as evil, as they say, or perhaps, as circumstances might be able to suggest.”

He was a murdering b*strd. Does anyone on this planet think for a minute he isn’t? Besides those in DUmmieland or so far gone on the socialist dream they can’t think straight?

Will there be emotional appeals about this bill being Ted Kennedy’s legacy, or something along those lines?

Do we hear Senator Tom Harkin warming up with operatic scales for a revised version of "Will you do it for Paul?!"

Elton John rewrote his homage to Marilyn Monroe in 1997 for Princess Diana.

There will be calls to pass the Kennedy Bill by acclamation.

Yes Libs will definately work Kennedy’s passing into the argument.

Remember: Never let a good crisis (or death) go to waste, or something like that Rahm Emmanuel truism.
