The latest rumor wending its way around the Interwebs and its a doozy has Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin ditching Anchorage for the suburbs of the Rhode Island. According to the Anchorage Daily News, Palin would fund the move to blue state America with $7 million from her book and a contract with FOX. And, oh yes, shes never running for office again.
Silly, right? After all, just a month ago, Palin was using Twitter to wax poetic on the enduring beauties of her home state: Im tasting a nibble of AKs bounty, knowing AKns are never bored;so much to do & discover [sic], she tweeted. The gossip, for now, is just gossip the Palin team has remained mum. Still, the Providence Journal thought enough of the rumors to run its own article.
The Journals Randal Edgar even tracked down Rhode Island Republican Party Chairman Giovanni Cicione for a quote. Cicione, a conservative marooned in a very blue New England state, wondered what would compel Palin to choose the Ocean State. Anyone who wants to move to Rhode Island, we would have to question their sanity, he said.

What an awful state. Move to Florida Todd and Sarah!
ROFL, the media is a joke
No way.
she needs to move to Texas so Perry can appoint her if kay bailey leaves.
Heck, I just love the user name...E**3
The media are truly dorks.
Sure. Last week, the Star had on its front cover about the impending Palin divorce.
Nah. She would have stayed in Alaska as governor. You can hear her love for her home state every times she speaks. She’s headed to DC. She know her country needs her. More and more with each passing day.
The Random-Palin-Rumor-Generator must be working overtime to come up with crap like this.
???
I have no idea what this is about.
No disrespect intended to those Freepers who reside in Rhode Island . I lived next door in CT for the first 19 years of my life and IMO it sucks bigtime . Providence the pits . Liberal mecca . CT not too far behind , now .
I’ll never forget getting arrested , along with a few friends , at Misquamicut Beach one summer evening . We’d just met some cute girls on the beach and went back to the car to fetch something . There was beer in the car but the owner was of age . We were not drinking , just sitting in the car for a few minutes , when the Misquamicut gestapo pulled up with lights flashing . We were promptly arrested for “ possession of alcohol by minors . “ They through us in a police van and drove around for hours ( before taking us to the clink ) . We told them we needed to pee . They’d stop the van right in front of an outside beach toilet but wouldn’t let us out . Then they’d drive off again . They said if anybody “ pissed in the van they would kick our ass . “ Well , one of my friends could hold it no longer and took a pee . He took of his undershirt , wiped up the pee , and through the t-shirt out the open-barred back window ! They were real pricks . Cost me $ 20 ( 1971 money ) to get out . Owner of car and another friend had to drive back to CT , get the dough , drive back , pay my fine , and then drive me home . Those cops were real arseholes . It’s still like that in Misquamicut I hear . Cops everywhere just looking to bust somebody’s butt .
Gee, I’d welcome her in Maine. Good fishing, good hunting, hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, lots of crummy local politicians and she’d have Snowe and Collins crapping in their panties.
She’s not moving to Rhode Island, or Montana, or The Hamptons, or any of this other BS that is going around. She is Sarah from Alaska and that is never gonna change. Geez when will people stop making stuff up
THREW , not through . OOPS !
BTW - if I were Palin I’d move to Hawaii before Rhode Island . I know it’s another liberal state but it beats the pants off of Rhody .
Shes not moving to Rhode Island, or Montana, or The Hamptons, or any of this other BS that is going around.
That’s probably true. But come Jan. 2011 he needs to probably have a spot picked out in the lower 48 to rent, lease for a couple of years if she is sincere about making a bid for the GOP nomination for President.
How about 1) northern weather, and 2) coastal lifestyle, and 3) the fishing? If she's looking for a "lower 48" state that's "like home," where else would she go?
-PJ
She couldn’t get enough Portuguese food and Mafia influence in Alaska?
Yeah... I'm thinking Florida or even.. gasp! California!!
I'm almost positive in a couple of more years of liberal bs... the Californians would welcome a conservative candidate with open arms... so don't laugh.
Hey, I was wondering how the Brooklyn Dodgers are doing this year ?
If Sarah wants a voice in National politics, she must move to the lower 48 because that is where most of us live.
