It all depends on how one interprets the virtue of integrity. Integrity for the common, law-abiding, tax-paying citizen is like a narrow path. Step off the virtuous path and end up in jail.
For the elites, integrity is like a multi-lane highway, each lane representing degrees of evil or virtue. There are several avenues to choose from and the changing of lanes is allowed at any time depending on the driver’s mood.
