This resembles a Mexican lasagna because of the layers of cheesy meat sauce and flour tortillas, and is oh so tasty!

This isn’t Mexican food. This is pure Texas.
Looks to me like some kind of mutant crossbreeding of the cream of canned soup casserole and with the stacked enchilada.
I’m not saying it might not be tasty. It might.
But I’m sticking with my green chili cheese chicken or red chili beef stacked enchiladas. Hold the the soup.
Sounds like an interesting idea. Someone give me some ideas about substitutions.
OK, instead of the enchilada sauce, I think I can get away with using either taco or chili seasoning in the meat and adding a can of tomatoes and substituting mixed cheese for the Velveta, but where am I gonna get mushroom soup and cream of chicken in Japan?
Also, I think a layer of refried or pinto beans is needed in here somewhere.
Discuss.
I stopped reading after the Cream of Mushroom soup.
Thanks for the recipe. There used to be a poster on here by the name of Carlos and he always had the best recipe threads. Does anyone know what’s happened to him.
Oh yes!!!
And one of our favorite food types!:)
This is very similar to a favorite dish at our house only I use corn tias & cheddar cheese.
Thanks for the great recipes Patriot1259.
I made the one you posted for dirty rice weekend before last for Sunday dinner.
It was actually very good but I had to add some cayenne to spice it up a bit.
Please add me to your ping list
LOL, looks like there’s something in it to offend just about everybody ;’}
You lost me at the 16 oz of Velveta cheese. That stuff has one use only, fish bait in a pinch....
Love it! but this recipe needs green chiles!
made with baby burros.
To anyone with any recipe ping list, please add me! thanks!
Carlo3b? he is still around.
Uh-oh. LOL! Remember, the coroner knows to look for bruise-marks on the throat...
It’s handled. He’s just over zealous sometimes.
A great son, Rush baby, very religious, only 16, starting his senior year with a 4.0 gpa going in.
Life’s good!
Oh yes!!!
LOL!!...but y'all left Luvvy off the ping... Even she could make this one! ;)
Great, now I feel like - something - for taking you to task. I am so sorry...
Well now, darn it, I just wasn’t too sure of that.
Properly chastised, I guess...
I hear she makes great biscuits, though.
Thanks Jinxy...
